That's what I was wondering because I had recently shipped a manifold to a Jeff in Oregon. Seemed like too much coincidence lol.
As far as drag radial's, still not ideal but they are still a lot better than you had. Just make sure to get a good burnout and heat them up good, and also I would start at about 20 PSI in them. You'd still be hard pressed to get under a 2 second 60' time. With slicks you'd be doing 1.80's all day with ease. I kinda doubt you'll still hit 13's with those tires, you just won't be able to get enough traction. I wish you the best, this is one case where I wouldn't mind being wrong.
Full weight, roughly 3400 lbs, small IC, TIII turbo on my 8 valve engine, minor engine mods, ran a 14.1@95 mph on street tires with turbo wastegate wired shut, lol. I cut a 2.1 60 ft on that pass.

When are the plans to get back to the track with the new setup?
This Saturday. I can't wait to see what it'll put down now.
Sweet, just remember to do a nice burnout and get those tires hot. Also remember to air them down to like 20 PSI for a little extra help.
So I didn't get a good run in tonight. But... my best et was a 14.11 at 97.42mph with a 2.03 60ft at 18psi. I turned up the boost to 20psi and ran a 14.65 at 99.94mph with a 2.64 60ft...
the drag radials were at 20 psi, and the the 2.64 launch was due to turbo lag.
And during the last run of the night my clutch slipped when I hit 2nd gear. So I may have to look into an upgrade.

Yeah sounds like that one good launch that had fairly good traction put a hurtin your clutch lol. But a 2 flat 60' time is pretty good on drag radials in a minivan, like I said before you're very hard pressed to get a sub 2 second short time on drag radials. But, experiment with the tire pressure, every brand and model is different, try 15 PSI perhaps. Oh and also I forgot to mention, pump the rears up to like 50 psi, less rolling resistance and less squat/bulge on the launch for better traction.
I highly recommend the TU 6 puck and blue plate (or get the yellow or black plate if you can swing it), that's what I ran in my minivan they are very streetable and hold good power.

99mph is great! What is this custom intake again? I flipped back a few pages but couldnt find a pic of it.

The intake on post #8 in this thread:

Oh wow, that's a good one.

How should I launch? Just keep raising the launch rpm until it doesn't bog? Any tips/tricks for launching a stickshift turbo car on slicks?
With slicks you can launch at pretty high rpms, probably about 4500-5000rpm with a 2.5L in your power range.
I use a custom cal with a staging limiter, makes it pretty easy because you can use keep the pedal to the floor the whole time.
Yea I'll eventually get another custom cal. And I will try launching at those rpms.
I put on a 52mm throttle body on now, so I guess we will find out how much of a difference it makes.
I feel burning up the clutch with slip is better then increasing rpms because of the eventual axle problems you will run into on slicks.

Last time i raced my van on 23" slicks i was launching from over 5000 rpm and it hooked great because my clutch slipped. I got 2.5 60' with failing clutch, same 60' it got as a TBI on street tires. LOL
With my old 3.0 Dynasty i was launching off the 5800 rpm limiter with same slicks and it would hook if i didnt let the clutch out too fast (like accidentally dump it). BUT clutch on that car was limiting as well, i only got 2.0s on a dead hook.

I ran a best of 14.135 with a 2.284 60ft. My 1/8th mile mph was 80.5 but my 1/4 mile was 98.54. So with the bigger 52mm throttle body I gained mph in the 1/8th but lost mph at the end of the 1/4 mile? What??
Only 1 run?
I wouldn't worry about trap speeds too much, you may have shifted better or got better traction in 2nd gear this time after the 60' point to get that 1/8th speed up higher. Like I said, I've ran a 15.2 at 115mph but my 12.3 pass was at 112. Or you said about clutch slipping, perhaps it starting slipping in 4th gear and you didn't even realize it and it got you that lower trap speed. You are obviously making more power to go 14.1 with a 2.28 short time when your previous best was a 14.1 with a 2.0.
I made 4 passes. And all were around the same mph. Weird though. Traction really isn't a problem and the clutch didn't slip as I allowed it adequate time to cool off. 13's are right around the corner. Just a little better 60ft and i'm there.
