    Mini-van front air dam install

I installed then same Ford Exploder lower air dam on my mini-van that I did on my Dad's T&C wagon http://www.turbo-mopar.com/forums/sh...all-on-a-K-car.

I had to put a piece of reenforcement metal behind the air dam because it was bowed in. I sandwiched it between the motor mount bracket and the body.

Did you shorten the sides or is that how it comes?

Just wondering if I'd want it a bit further forward.

No I didn't shorten it. I had to grind off some of the reenforcement on the edge that mounts to the van so it would sit flush. If you click the link on the one I installed on my Dad's T&C wagon, you can see one the way I bought it.

Is your van raised up? How long did it take to get that on there?

Yes my van is raised, for off road prairie dog hunting duty. If you search some of my stuff you can find details on it.

It probably took me between an hour or two to get it installed.

Looks good, like an S10 air dam,

How tall is it? I think the S10 is 2".

They work, you can definately tell on the highway if you run one then take it off.

What is all that crap hanging out from your bumper. I think you need a couple of zip ties to tame that s**t.

The Ford Explorer air dam is 58" wide and about 2 1/2 tall. The S-10 air dam is 54" wide and 4" tall. I had both to consider in the junk yard and the Explorer was wider (for my needs) and easier to remove.

AJ, if you wanted to freshen the look in the front RockAuto has some decent replacement headlight assemblies that are pretty cheap. The quality isn't as good as Mopar original, but it is acceptable. I love how fresh Mean Mini looks now.

I reconditioned the head lights in my van about four years ago. It was a day and night difference. I did a write-up with before and after pictures.

That's my trans cooler or was, its since been redone as I now have an engine oil cooler too.

Don't care how it looks, function is what I care about,

Now that would be fun, build a custom "Borg Cube" style radiator grille out of odds and ends and multiple sizes of pipe and flex hose... that's actually a trans cooler or something

It's pretty low in the front when I have the drag radials on. It'd be even lower if I didn't have the 2" spacers on top of the struts. It's raining tonight so racing is out.

Ya it's bulls**t. That's why I moved to the desert. The last time I wanted to race my van it rained also. I wish I knew what the gods were trying to tell me.

Raining, damn, lol. We get used to that here,

When I ran the 22's and 23's, I had to remove my air dam,
