What pads are you going to use for the two extra on the 3-4 fork?

Are these pads only good for the A568 or can they be used on a A520 or A523?

The 523 and 543 use the same forks and pads as the 568 so yes these will work for them.

These will not work in the 520 or 555 as those use a thinner width pad on all positions.

Re: 91+ A568 bronze shift fork pads

I am kind of surprised that there is not more interest in these. I thought Craig had a lack of interest in his group buy, due to the high buy in, and not offering the 3-4 pad to make a full set. I guess people just dont see the need for these. Anyway a little update I have about (42) 3-4 pads done, and will be finishing the rest them up this week. I ordered the stock for the 1-2-5 pads, and will be starting them as soon as the stock shows up.

    Thanks Adam

They're too busy with their autotragics and no effort drag racing lol.

I have a 91 568 gear set that I assembled on a 3.5 fd that has been waiting for these. Can't wait

Adam, it is right after SDAC and Carlisle. It may be a month or 2 until some have $$$$ to spend again. Even as little as your talking about.

If they were A-555 pieces, I would be on it like me on a twinkie!!!

What are the differences in the small spline '90 568? If it's minor or really none at all then I'm in.

post #17 on the first page. The 3-4 fork is wider because of the different pad so you cant use the 91+ 3-4 pad on a 90 only fork, they will fall off in short time from normal usage. The 3-4 fork from a later transmission can be used with no ill effects. Or you can retrofit the older 520/555 black pad used on those 3-4 & 5 forks or wait for the bronze version of the black pad and use that also. The 1-2/5 forks-pads are the same for all years and not an issue.

As I get these done I will send you a Pm for payment. I just started the 1-2-5 pad today. I will post some pics of it tonight.
