91+ A568 bronze shift fork pads

Ok guys I need a show of hands of who wants these, so I know how much stock to order. I have stock to do (60) 3-4 pads, but may need more depending on interest. I will be doing 630 bronze 1-2-5 pads and 3-4 pads. Since alot of you guys are talking about adding extra pad to the shift fork Im going to be selling these individually. The price is $8.50 per pad. I am NOT giving any discounts for buying in bulk, so it 8.50 if you buy 1 pad or 1000 pads. To make things easy on myself, shipping will be a $5 USPS flat rate box, or envelope. Payment will be made through paypal or a money order. When paying through paypal If you choose NOT to gift the payment you will need to add 3% to your total. I think doing a list like in other group buys worked the best. Only put your name on the list if are 100% sure you will be buying them. list info should be your TM screen name, your actual name, quantity of 1-2-5 pads, and quantity of 3-4 pads.

    Disclaimer:
These pads are in NO WAY guaranteed to last any given mileage. I am simply making what you guys (the TM community) wanted in the alloy you wanted.

list example: lengel, Adam Lengel, (4)1-2-5 pads, (2)3-4pads

    1: BadAssPerformance, JT, (8) 1-2-5 & (8) 3-4 PAID, SHIPPED
    2:Shackwrrr, Ian (5) 1-2-5 & (2) 3-4 PAID, SHIPPED
    3: 135sohc, Craig (40) 1-2-5 & (12) 3-4 PAID SHIPPED
    4: 94GTC, Pat M (5) 1-2-5 (6) 3-4
    5: Pat, Pat (10) 1-2-5 (4) 3-4 PAID SHIPPED
    6: Kryp2nitE, Chris (10) 1-2-5 (6) 3-4 PAID SHIPPED
    7: CHRYNY, Ron (5) 1-2-5, (2) 3-4 PAID SHIPPED
    8:2.216vturbo, Alan (6) 1-2-5 (4) 3-4 PAID SHIPPED
    9: DOHCRT, Vic (10) 1-2-5, (4) 3-4 PAID SHIPPED
    10: Lotashelbys, Jackson (23) 1-2-5 (18) 3-4 PAID SHIPPED
    11: bfarroo, Benji (10) 1-2-5, (6) 3-4 PAID SHIPPED
    12: Wallace, Wallace (10) 1-2-5 (4) 3-4 PAID SHIPPED
    13: moparloper, Jim (10) 1-2-5, (4) 3-4 PAID SHIPPED

Heres a pick of the bronze 3-4 pads next to stock pads.

Is this a one and done offer or is there ever the potential for this to happen again in the future if the volume/interest is there ?

Stock uses 4 total for 1-2 and 5, so if you add a 12-oclock for 1-2 that means 5 of those (assuming you dont want, and not sure why you would want 12oclock for 5th) then 3-4 uses 2 of those, 12-oclock for that wouldnt use that pad

5 of the 1-2-5's and 2 of the 3-4's. The 5th gear fork doesnt really take to adding the 3rd pad very well (its hardened machined steel vs softer cast like the other two). Also though make sure you dont have a 1990 transmission because the 3-4 fork is wider and these inserts wont fit it without falling out. To add the 3rd pad to the 3-4 fork you'd probably be better off using the older black fork pad or its bronze replacement no matter what year your working on.

Re: 91+ A568 bronze shift fork pads

Maybe i am not reading the posts correctly, but what pads are necessary for the 12:00 pad on the 1/2 fork and 3/4 fork?

    Thanks,
    Pat

The 1-2 12:00 pad is just an extra 1-2-5 pad, so you need 3 of those for the 1-2 fork

The 3-4 is a little difficult cuz the 3-4 pads won't work well for the 12:00 position because the middle part is off-center

Re: 91+ A568 bronze shift fork pads

I fitted a 520/555 black fork pad into the 3rd position. in this case since I had a 90 only 3-4 fork to work with I also used the black pads since they are almost the same thing as the 90 only 3-4 pad except the 'notch' isnt centered.

Re: 91+ A568 bronze shift fork pads

With the least amount of support out at the end the 5th gear fork should have at least a 3rd pad. Its hardened steel so it will have to be ground instead of filed. Im going 4 pads in 1-2 and 3-4 at 10 and 2 oclock and 3 in 5th. Adam I will have a count here in a few days on how many I will need for my 30 or so 568s....
