There's a ton more video to come... here's a WIP teaser compilation video I'm working on... missing titles and such, but give you an idea of the amt. of video that was collected.

Will be done hopefully sometime in July. Will also upload individual runs.

that was pretty bad --- MB...looking forward to the official release =)
You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. It took a GIRL to bring visceral yet stylistic high-def event coverage laced with dubstep tracks to this community.
The veedub fags have had this level of exciting propoganda for a decade now.
Oh, and that teaser was perfect. Keep up the great work DSC.
Aww, that was a great little teaser
Thanks! Would love to have this done sooner.... but, as mentioned in the other threads, the computer is not happy, and I'm currently in process of pricing/building a new one that can handle the HD files. This completely blindsided me, as I've been able to handle video before; but underestimated the power that is needed to handle the new video stuff. So bear with me. That little clip (of the cars - already worked on the intro a week ago) took about 10 hours to complete yesterday. It crashed about 6 to 8 times completely; most of the time it would just lock up for 10-20 minutes at a time. RAM - can never have enough!!
Anyways, glad you like it thus far. It is kind of fun (and challenging) to edit to stylized music.

IMO, there are two ways to do upgrades, i) get teh fastest chip on the outgoing platform (while they are still in channel) and bloat it out with as much ram as you can afford, then just use it up for 3 or 4 years. This should be doable cheap. ii) buy the newest platform, with one of the slower CPUs that will run on it (coz the fastest ones here will run something ridiculous like $800 and will be slower than what you can get to put in it for $200 in a year...) and then upgrade the CPU yearly until you can't... which might get you 5-6 years.
Anywhere in the middle is kinda suboptimal, middle aged platforms you might not get as much performance as i) for the same money straight off, and you'd think you'd get one CPU upgrade in later, then forget, and find the now out of production fastest CPU has gone to a ridiculous price.... until it's very obsolete...
Tech pricing for a given tech (RAM or CPU for a particular slot) sort of does a skijump shaped curve, down down, down, then hits a minimum, while the supply is high but it's no longer the best, at this point it's relatively cheap, good time to buy the fastest and biggest of that generation... then supply tightens, but everyone who bought it middle end, or when it was high end and is trying to get another upgrade, has just started to realise their now low level performing chip/ram is lagging bad, and want to get hold of the fastest/biggest they can put in their system... so the price starts climbing again... and it will climb more, and then level off, and hold... for as long as that generation is remotely useful... then fall off a cliff and everything goes for $10 a bagful as scrap/salvage on eBay....

Dang! That's low!
But i know what you mean. I would have taken some, but i would have been more wrapped up in enjoying the event and meeting/seeing folks.
One of the hardest parts of racing is getting good pics or video. A good friend told me that once. The best picture of my Spirit racing was taken by him.
The SDAC moneybag probably isn't exactly overflowing, but has it been investigated to hire a professional photographer for the event? They would make money by selling individual pics as well to owners, or could compile a cd with the images. They do that at some sporting events like triathlons and such. I'm sure they get paid to be there as well but don't have a clue about cost.
Every year there are several people who can't or don't make the events. Doesn't mean we shouldn't be able to live vicariously through the video shennanigans of those members who did with some quality pics and video!

A few more I got up on youtube. My computer is also being retarded and having a difficult time with editing movies as well as uploading videos to youtube, so this is a slow process and I'll add videos when it lets me. I have 20+ still to go.
