    2.5 t1 shortblock

Ok I'd like to trade so I can get my van back on the road.

I have a 2.5 t1 engine with weisco .020 pistons and ARP rod bolts. This engine was rebuilt 16k ago.

Now the problem is the cylinder is cracked

I'd like to trade my short block for a stock good condition shortblock strait up.

Where are you located? I don't have much use for a cracked block, but I have a good stock long block id sell.

I'm in east central Ohio near wheeling WV

I guess I'm trading the forged piston rotating assy for a good short block.

Can it be sleeved or are the cyl walls too thin?

I got a bare 2.5 standard bore sitting on an engine stand. With crank.

I wouldn't sleeve it, would cost more than a junkyard block+machining. I could have got a spare block from the previous owner and I wish I did now.

Ok. shipping alone is probably more than I can spend.

I'd let it go cheap to you. Like 50 dollars for the block and crank. You just pay shipping. If you need a quote my zip code is 74055. I've never shipped a block before so this is new to me lol. Dunno how much it weighs.

On top of shipping I'd have to get it bored out for my pistons and get new rings, thanks for the offer though

I can probably do a partial trade or buy one for around 200 if someone has one nearby.

    Re: 2.5 t1 shortblock

I have a 2.5 block that needs a bore if you want to use the pistons in another block. If not I'd be interested in the pistons/rods but don't have a stock block to trade.

I've got a 2.5 out of an 89 Daytona sittin' on the garage floor.

It ran rough when I pulled it on the trailer...but it ran with no knocking. If you can figure out a way to come get the short block, or have someone lug it in that direction for you, you can have it for the total price of a couple beers...to be paid later.

    No swill though...

    I'm in Joliet,IL...looks like about 8 hrs.

Anybody goin' east soon? Maybe a relay?

Sleeving should cost you $100, I would think about that route.
