    Fuzion Tires

I need to put new tires on the daytona. It had Nitto555's which are absolutely shot with dry rot. they have maybe 10,000 miles on them and probably a good 3/8 tread left. They are around 7 years old so I could understand if they were a little hard but to crack like they did doesn't seem right. I'm extremely disappointed with the shape of the tires for how much they were. The car is stored indoors 95% of the time in a garage that rarely gets below 40 in the winter and when it's outside it has a cover on it that reaches the ground to keep the tires out of the sun. Since I don't drive the car much and if I bring it to the track I have Slicks or Road Race tires that will go on it. I basically need tires to transport it and for saturday night cruises. I'm looking at the Fuzion HRi tires on TireBuyer.com 285shipped for 4 225 45 17's. Has anyone had any experiance with these tires? I just can't see spending 500+ on a set of tires that are going to go to crap again in 5-7 years.

I have them on my omni. I guess they are decent. Wet traction kind of sucks though.

I have a set on the DC GLH. They're older and hard like rocks.
All the other cars are running Hankook Ventis tires.
Better ride and traction. Cheap price.

I've always heard good reviews on Fuzion tires. They're not the greatest for performance, but they are a good value.

Theory-ettically, newer all-seasons should hold up a bit better than in the past due to newer low temperature traction compounds having a higher amount of silicone in than previously....(i.e. 4 or 5 years ago)
