I could use some for my VC bolt holes. Also, do I need a certain size for them due to the depth? I've never used them before.

M6.. they typically come in one size. NAPA usually has them on the shelf around here, maybe Car Quest or any good parts store with a machien shop. Mc(race)Master Carr or Grainger too

I have bought them in the past from McMaster They carry a kit that comes with the drill, tap, insert tool and inserts all in one kit
This kit has 3 different lengths of helicoils 6, 9, 12(in mm) 91732A947 $43.76
This kit has 1 length of helicoils 9(in mm) 91732A948 38.48

Most parts stores will have them, just make sure they have the installation kit. I bought mine from amazon for like 26 shipped.
I don't think the length matters too much at 105 inch pounds.. Especially if you install studs at the same time, which you might as well.
JB Weld-ing studs in would prolly work for that, but it makes a lot of people do the DNW dog thing.

Unfortunatly McMaster is very expensive for hardware, the + is you get it in less than 2 days
Hopefully this link works
