Arrow Stock T1 mitsubishi inlet/outlet size measurement

    Hey Guys,

-What is the inlet and outlet outer diameter size on the compressor side of the stock t1 mitsubishi turbo?

-Also, how wide is the swingvalve piece near the base flange where it bolts to the turbo? (if you measured width with the downspout pointing down). I want to know the biggest pipe size I can weld on when I make my own custom swingvalve.

    Thanks,
    -Jefo

2.5 inlet, 2 outlet. Same as the Garrett.

Not sure about the swingvalve size.

Stock DP is 2.5", I believe a 3" will fit.

Yea I was thinking of a custom 3.5" dp to a 3.5" cutout before the cat. Only worry is boost creep.
This combined with a 4" custom cold air intake, and a big fmic with 3" piping should net me some good power, with quick spoolup.
Overkill I know, but I want to see how fast I can go on the stock turbo.

It should boost creep like crazy. My 3" exhaust with straight through muffler and no cat would creep to cutout on an otherwise stock car.

It can also depend on what boost controller you use. I put a 3" system on a G body a few years ago, nice IC, and it only crept a few psi, used a Turbosmart MBC, I didn't get to modify it per them to make it less as he sold it a short time after.

I would be more concerned with the crazy boost spike that tends to happen when you go wot. At one point i had my g valve set to 7-8. the mitsu would spike past cutout if u gave her too hard. you will need to master the throttle lean in.

    (3" exhaust custom fmic)

I'm thinking about getting bigger vaccum lines as i need to replace them anyway, especially the one directly from the turbo to the manifold. I would think this will reduce boost spike.
