I'm looking at a '95 lebaron 'vert. price is right at $600.
the problem with the thing is that when you put it in drive, it'll go about 500 feet and then just drop outta gear.if you shut it off and let it sit for a few minutes, it'll do the same thing.
i had one guy tell me it could be a collapsing trans filter, but i haven't bought the car yet so i haven't got more in depth.
has anyone seen anything like this before?
I think low fluid can do that too.
Are you trying to figure how to get it home on that tranny? and if so how far is that?
Is it lighting a light every time it does that?

the fluid looked ok and was full. no MILs or codes checked with the key, i'm not sure if trans codes would show up this way or not.
If i buy it, i'll get a tow dolly, it's 20 miles away from my house
sounds like the filter is plugged most likely from Tq lock up clutch going
