    Pig rich at idle?!

So my car is still running unbelievably rich I purchased an afpr and backed the pressure at idle down to 25 and still was a bit rich... Obviously I can't drive it like that cause I'll melt all my pistons. My injectors are regular tII injectors. Are they the same as my glhs logic module should want? I had a wideband hooked up and it read 11.3 at wot this makes no sense at all oMe please help me out my car has a g head motor in it but that shouldn't cause it to run this rich. My logic module is a mp stage 2 glhs Is there something that could cause this? I changed out the baro and the map and checked all of the lines to it?!!!!!

When was the oil last changed?
    When is your compression #?

    11.3 is fine at WOT
Around 14.7 is fine for Idle and cruise

4 years ago i tryed to run my 2.5l on t2 ijectors with my Mp lm and it didn't like it at all (Same problem) put the stock t1 log injectors (27#)back in and was happy as hell . it had something to do with injector bat timing

    2.2 or 2.5?

As I said in the other post, why would you melt the engine if WOT is 11.3:1 unless your part throttle/cruise is stupid lean. Injectors are good to about 20 psi of fuel pressure before the spray pattern takes a dump.

Just a thought... Was your car converted to tII? And don't 2.5ti and 2.2 tII injectors the same?

Oops I should mention I got te wot numbers with the pressure at stock levels and all g head motors are technically 2.2's

    They are the same yep.

Just because its a G head doesnt mean its a 2.2 People swap crap all the time.

Dont run that very long with it running that rich. You'll wash that bottom end out in a hurry. Your WOT a/f is pretty good. But whats it running at on idle?

    Re: Pig rich at idle?!

yes 2.5 and t2 are the same
the MP lM are scaled to 27# injectors not 33# and the 33# injectors have a different bat timing voltage

just get a Cal done buy boostbutton and you be much happier

Really my mp performance stage 2 glhs logic module is setup for tI injectors? Well that could fix everything... And it's not a head.... It's a g head motor! The g head motor came with different pistons to compensate for compression differences

I hope you solved my issue... I don't plan on lurking far from home without the wideband to make sure I ain't gonna melt em

Yeah I know what a G head motor is. I was just saying what people say isnt always exactly what is.

    Re: Pig rich at idle?!

Ok that's fine a couple of days ago someone actually thought the 2.5 was produced the same years as the 2.2 so they seriously thought that I had the option of having a 2.5ti where the 2.5 was a non turbo only thing in 86 :/
