    I might call them today.

    Bill, I know it sounds bad but modify a stock gasket, I did this for years on my TIII, took about 20 mins to open up the holes to match a TIII gasket, if your careful with a die grinder and a drill, it works great.

    can anyone offer advice on drilling and grinding a 8v hg for the 16v engine?

    I simply placed the head gasket on top of each other, used a marker to mark the holes, then used a drill for the smaller holes, a hole punch and die grinder for the larger holes, then when gone, you'll have to use a flat grinding disc to smooth off the work you did on the back side. MAKE SURE to keep the area clean otherwise you'll embed metal etc into the new gasket. It takes about 20 mins but it works just fine.
