    Seam sealer removal

    Doing some rust repair to my CSX. Anyone know the best way to remove seam sealer? This stuff is wicked!

    By golly that works! Heated that crap up with a propane torch and it comes off like butter!! Thanks!!

    Wire wheel on a 4 inch electric grinder.
    Use a cup style wire wheel.

    That's the way I was doing it. Takes way too long and can't get into the very tight spots. Burning it off is the way to go!!

    Heat works but be aware of/if theres anything behind the area being heated... dont want to light the car on fire.

    Old seam sealer usually contains toluene. Don't breathe the fumes or the smoke if it ignites.

    used something like that, but in non roll lock form. I found that it could eat the sealer away better then the wire wheel, however the sealer will also eat the disc up as well....basically time is money! lol

    I went this route too, except I used a drill bit-style wheel. It came right off.
