Lightbulb Sorry all for being a dissapointment here at the forums....

Well all I have news, the van is sadly gone.

(For those that don't know, I had a turbo minivan 5 speed that I got from the previous owner. It had a snapped rear axle, and I had plans on getting it fixed and daily drive it. But the job market went down the crapper, and I had to put the van on sale.)

The job market has been a cruel one, and I just could not afford to keep the van and fix it. The previous owner got a friend lined up and took the van, and might redo it sometime, or save it for a project car and race it.

I don't know who it is or anything further than that. My apologies to everyone for not replying sooner, as the deal was just done yesterday.

I know I wasn't a very good member to the T-M crew here, as i'm not brimming to my ears with experience in working on Dodges, or have boatloads of cash to drop on a nice T-m and drive it cross country. I don't even have any good entertaining stories about T-M's I owned. I only had a few ideas, but taking care of family and home does come first.

If I try to find another T-M I'll be certain it is road worthy and does not need a lot of work.

    I miss the van already.

You sound like a perfect TM'er to me!
Sorry the van didn't work out. i'm sure you'll find another turbo Dodge once you're back on your feet.

There's lots more out there I wouldn't call yourself a disappointment, not knowing things doesn't mean you aren't a good member. Half the people on here are probably the same as you.

You got rid of a problem and prioritized family over fun. Sounds like a winner to me.

No apologies needed, you recognised a cool old TM and kept it away from the wrecker for another year, and re-enthused someone who might realise it's potential... so sort of a win overall.

Hope your financials improve and you're back "around" with a sweet ride/project sooner rather than later.

    take care,

I would encourage you to keep hanging out in the forums and stay with us! For me it was 24 and 1/2 years between turbo dodges. You can leave but the sickness never goes away! Take care, and never feel you do not belong!

Take Care and see you around the forums!

Hell man, I've been in and out of this scene a few times. I got rid of my 85 Charger and swore to myself, never again. Well, few months ago, I bought an 87 Charger. Youll be back.

Chrysler built millions of turbo cars. There will be another one when you're ready.

Agreed with what everyone said, your not a failure at all except if you'd kept the van and sacrificed food, clothing, a roof over their heads to keep and fix the van.
