Description: A set of Koni shocks and struts off an L-body GLHS. These need a rebuild, no doubt about it! I picked these up thinking I would install them on my 85' Charger but the project is at a standstill. Anyway, this sale is for U.S. buyers ONLY! I would prefer a Southern California meet me up to make it easier.

How do you rebuild them or is there a service available to do this?

There is a company out in ohio/kentucky area IIRC that is the koni authorized service center to rebuild them. It it not a cheap process by any means but realistically you can probably do it once and be good to go for another 20 years.

The company that rebuilds them is True Choice in Ohio as mentioned above. The last time I checked(a couple years ago) it was $125 per strut. I can't remember the shock price

I spoke with someone at Koni not very long ago (within a year) and inquired about rebuild price for a pair of struts i had. I was surprised to say the least. I did post it somewhere. If i remember, I was quoted about $150-165 each. Now that is just for opening up, they further stated parts are extra and they using require $60-90 in those additional parts. So just for ONE rebuilt strut was going to very realistically cost over $250.

But like you say, if you do it you likely won't be ever doing them again. And, what are the other options...

Rebuild on Konis that needs no extra parts is 175.00+shipping both ways...and most need at least orings and other bits.

my friend spent almost 500 after rebuilding his konis.......add shipping back and forth from canada, it turned out to be about 700 total.....lol.

his were done at true choice as well....

yeah,sorry that was for one front strut.....so jugster isnt far off,it aint cheap.

350 to buy them, rebuild 200 a corner maybe more... i got coil overs for 1250 from Cindy with springs. It's close.

No slam on the OTP, it's a good price for a rare item and still worth it for OEM/ resto's and like a I said it's a rare item.

These shocks and struts might be up for sale as communication has slowed down with the buyer. As an update, I did find rust on one strut bar......
