I think canada is great. They have way better policies than us and why do you think a lot of AMERICAN companies are moving there world headquarters to canada. Microsoft just happens to be one. They just built a building not to many years ago in toronto.
I think you are nuts. List these great policies you speak of.

Well one and I think this is the greatest one is about jobs. The fact that a natural born citizen would get a job before a unnatural citizen would. I think that is a great policy. I wish that we would enforce that here. Imagine how many less layoffs there would be if we were to enforce that rule and how many jobs would not be outsourced. I mean don't get me wrong we are the land of the free and all but we need to be just a tad more strict about it. Which we are not. Plus you never hear canada getting into anyone elses business. That is our main problem with the usa. We butt are noses into other peoples business and not expect them to get pissed off. I know I get irritated when people get into my business. You probably do too. If not then I have a few questions for you. Did you know that half of our taxes are put into our defense budget. I mean I don't mind because that keeps me employed. Don't get me wrong I am not against the usa at all. I work for them lol. But some policies and the way they do things makes no sense. And believe me when I say that. If we were more like canada and kept to ourselves we would be a more financially stable country. And the government would be able to lower taxes to be able to keep companies and jobs here. Still think I'm nuts that's fine. Maybe you just need to open up your eyes a little bit. Just sayin eh.

Uhhh, what have you been reading, once you're a citizen you're a citizen, you just can't hire immigrants straight to a job, have to prove you can't find a citizen, born or naturalised ... seems in effect about the same as US green card scheme.

You know what I like... Our healthcare... Yeah it makes takes go up but when you injure yourself and you don't have te money to pay straight up
You have a mortgage of a health bill.... In fact I believe the country with the best healthcare/education is Cuba.... You don't have to pay a cent for any schooling (including university) or any sort of health care! I bet all of you to find me a uneducated Cuban!

It's a semily difficult process.. To become an immigrant though you have to be ridiculous smart... Google Canada immigrant test and see if you can do a sample test... I give you 40% lol

Not that I'm aware of... It's free game if you family of the person who did the test though... What I am suck of is people who move here an make little places in cities where no one will go on foot when it's not sunny out... Not to stereotype but it is generally the people from somalia who create issues...

I can't quote all your replies but dude, you need to get your head checked. We are losing alot of company's to China, look at Air Canada's maintenance crew as one that recently headed to Asia.

As for jobs, we hire whomever's cheaper, which around Vancouver, are East Indians, there is no such policy about hiring locals first, we actually get hired last unless we speak punjab, chinese and are dark skinned, sounds racist but very true.

Immigrants get free health care, money to move here, special rate bank accounts and mortgages, free eyewear and the list is endless vs us locals have to pay and pay dearly, and they get a pension after 7 years-I know of one grandma who gets more than my retired parents and she's never worked a day in her life in this country. WTF?

The iist is endless but we are very much the same EXCEPT are tax rate is thru the roof, we pay dearly for gas, food and essentials, hence why alot of us shop in the US, alot of items are half price, yes, half price.

Well that is strange. I have gone up to Canada a lot. A lot must have changed since the last time I was there. I stand to be corrected. Not like it matters to me anyways. As long as there is turmoil and war, or were butting into other peoples business and causing issues. I have a job. And what I do and where I work I dont have to EVER worry about a foreign person taking my job or being outsourced. I mean if you arent a US citizen and walk into any of our buildings, you have to notify us immediately and be escorted to where ever you need to go within our company.

Well that policy would hose you if you did move there, would it not? What if the immigrant is smarter or more honest or works harder/better? I'm not hiring a worthless American worker over a good immigrant worker. Just such a situation what's causing a lot of problems here in SC (although you'll never hear it on the news).

I do agree with you that our government has stuck our nose in hundreds of places it doesn't need to be. None of the wars in the last 60 years should have involved us, or at least not at the scale we have been.

You are definitely out of touch with both countries' policies. Tax free for 7 years? Maybe if you are from India or Pakistan. Not hard to become a citizen? Maybe not if you are Russian or African, or European. I haven't talked to an English immigrant yet that didn't have problems, most still are. Mexicans are getting ****ed left and right lately too. Even Americans trying to immigrant into Canada have a hard time.

And, I think that 75% of this thread should probably be moved to the Politics section lol.

I am not planning on moving there. I have WAY to good of a job to do that. But it has crossed my mind. As said though as long as there is turmoil and war, I have a job. Why would I give that up I guess.

The shipping does suck, BUT I just ordered spark plugs, wheel bearings, and a VC gasket for my neon. With the 5% off they beat autozone by $18 on a $100 order. Still good savings over AZ AND I got timken bearings (instead of duralast) and champion plugs (over autolite). So better parts and cheaper? They are still winning in my book!

Autozone isn't in the running but Advance gives out really good coupon codes if you buy online and pick up in store. like 30 off of 100 and 20 off of 50. 20 off of 50 is 40% off!

    Re: Your shipping...

Don't know if anybody RockAuto is reading this, but what I would like is some indication of what warehouse a part is coming from (or estimated shipping time.) Is it from the one that will get to me quickly or is the warehouse across the country and it will take a week? I have received parts from the close warehouse on the next day with standard ground shipping.

Several times I have been debating between two (or more) parts and if I knew one was at a closer warehouse, I would definitely get it... A couple of times I would have made the purchase from RockAuto if I knew the part would get to me in a day or two instead of a week.
