    Your shipping...

blows. every time I look up parts they have to ship from a different warehouses. Maybe you all should call Amazon for some tips on how to ship stuff. Great prices ruined by crappy shipping.

I must get lucky with this always. I picked up my Shadow rear brakes for cheaper than the disks alone would have cost from Autozone.

The problem is when you buy from different warehouses. So I was looking 3 items I need.

Idler, coolant over flow and a headlight assembly

idler is super cheap. shipping added on keeps it a couple bucks less than Advance with coupon codes. I need the part ASAP. I'll pay the extra couple bucks to get it tomorrow at the store.

coolant overflow, great price. With Shipping (12bucks) it ends up costing more than I can buy it new on ebay.

Headlight, 40 bucks! shipping 14bucks! same thing on ebay. 45 shipped... 10 bucks more for the same thing.

Now if I buy a different brand's [Economy Line] for 44 bucks it will ship with overflow tank for.... the same 12bucks!!
If I add the same vendor's non-Economy Line for 45 bucks the shipping is the same, 12 bucks even with the other headlight and overflow...

I can't understand how it cost less to ship 2 headlights and a overflow for 12 bucks when it cost 14 bucks for just the 1 headlight from another warehouse.

I would have ordered it if I could have got it all shipped for 12 bucks. Rock has lost almost a grand from me this year because of the shipping issues.

    Re: Your shipping...

I've had something like that happen to me once. I dropped a couple items off of my list.

I'll bet that I'm in a different boat than you to an extent also. It takes me an absolute minimum of an hour round trip to drive to the parts store. Usually it's much longer than that. I don't mind waiting the two days for the parts vs. driving, but I rarely need something ASAP.

I have bought from the local store several times due to the same issue. Usually I don't need stuff in a hurry, but I don't want to pay double the shipping just to save 5-10 bucks on that one part that's at a separate warehouse.

Now there have been times when even with the extra shipping that it was still cheaper than at the store. And I have bought several things from them that were not available anywhere else (some of my Diplomat parts, for instance). Franzen just has a cloud of bad luck that hangs over him and doesn't allow him good deals very often I have seen him spend good money on a brand new "quality" part and have it fail, while I ran stuff scrounged out of the junkyard for years lol.

Well over the last few years, that would be because some $150 "quality" name parts come out of the front door of the same factory in Shanghai that ships $10 Super Rooster Auto inc version out the back door.... I've seen it a dozen times at the parts counter when they've actually stocked a part, side by side on the counter and they're abso-friggin-lutely identical, down to the scratch or ding in the casting mold... in the junkyard you might get a 20 year old part, but it's a 20 year old made in USA/Canada part.

I buy from Advanced on the net and it's shipped to local store free, however the coolant recovery tank [ for the SRT-4] is one off and is probably cheaper from ROCKAUTO, even with shipping. Shipping is killing every one but the people that have large warehouses, usually are the ones that are cheaper. I have also found that the parts from China are made from the same machines that were once in this Country before our Government ran them out of this Country.

Or... maybe it is is the other way around. Idiots like you do dumb crap all the time that causes me pain, so I have to lash out at all the dumb arse out there. It is a vicious cycle. Just like this dumb arse shipping from Rock. Their system is broke and it shame because they have great prices and have a lot of the parts for older Shelby Dodges. Oh well.

Yeah, you have good luck running some old junk. Seems like you are running into franzen luck with your knock sensors though. Nothing like a brand new part failing.

Why the hell would it cause you pain? Didn't know you had any feelings to hurt?

    Re: Your shipping...

I don't think anyone living in the US can complain about shipping until they've lived north of the border for a while. $50 part is easily $100 by the time it gets to my door but sadly still less than the $150 I would have paid at the local parts store.

I welcomed you to the US and you tell me move to China. Between you and Simon no one should wonder why Canadians are looked down on. Just saying eh

I should be clear Simon wasn't included in the invite. RoadWarrior's invite has been revoked also.

Do the work that I do and surrounded by the people that I am and you would find out your answer.

I think canada is great. They have way better policies than us and why do you think a lot of AMERICAN companies are moving there world headquarters to canada. Microsoft just happens to be one. They just built a building not to many years ago in toronto.
