1992 Dodge Daytona Iroc R/T $1000.00 or part out.

    Date: 16th April 2012
    Username: KillerTSI
    Full Name: Timothy Jackson
City, State, Zip: Cumberland City, Tennessee, 37050
Contact: Text or call (931) 436-7276
Selling or Wanted Price: $1,000.00 or part out..

Description: This is a rust free southern car. It has some damage to the driver side front fender and will need a new fender. The head, cams, and pistons are junk but if you still want them then they go with the sale. The turbo needs to be rebuilt and the dash is cracked. I have an uncracked dash that comes with the car. It has a full 3in exhaust from the turbo back with a magnaflow muffler. The interior is complete but headliner is starting to sag. The car has some slight hale damage. Factory ninja wheels are in good shape but tires are junk. Clutch is strong and trans does not grind or crunch. The engine was built before I bought the car and the Walmart mechanic that built it did a dollar store job. I can get pictures of anything you want, you only have to ask. If there are any questions I did not answer then feel few to text or call because I do not frequent the forums like I used to. -Tim

Correction, Jackson offered me $1,000.00 and I agreed. He called me before he left and told me he had $1,600.00. When you got here he said it costed $700.00 to drive here and you offered me $600.00. When I declined Jackson got pissed and you left. Like the post says if anyone needs more pics I will get them in clouding the non existing rust spots Jackson dreamed up to try and get the price down.

It's also in a lot better shape then the Iroc Shelby that Jackson sold me last year for twice the price I am asking. You really want to go through all this again? I still have all the text messages from that deal. Fact is that Jackson didn't have the $1,000.00 he promised and when I wouldn't budge on the price he got mad and you guys left.

There is no value in a daytona body, and without a good running t-3, that is all is it is. I doubt you will get anyone to give you a $1000 for what i see in the pictures above. You will be much better off taking what little good t3 parts are left and putting them on ebay. Heck, I'm sure i would do some bidding! and you will likely make a more than $1000 parting it out.

Tim save yourself the trouble and ignorance of people and just part it out. I thought that there were rules on thisw forum for thread crapping. Pretty bad that vendors jump in here and thread crap as well. Just saying.

I wouldn't say Cindy was thread crapping, she was merely giving out some advice as TM'ers are a cheap bunch. I don't see an issue there.

I wouldn't say you couldn't get what your asking for it especially if the owner will work with you on price within reason, you would be very surprised what you could get for shells, there is an A$$ for every seat even if it doesn't run, this is clearly not just a reg tona "shell" but a r/t so I am sure with whats there its worth it, good luck with the sale I would be interested in it if I was closer.

Cindy did not thread crap. We know she is good friends with Jackson, but she stayed cool about it.

There are rules about FS threads with others butting in with opinions/slander.... but Pnktona "technically" didn't say anything...

I say that KillerTSI should show more detailed under-body shots to put the question at rest.

To me... the underside looks pretty darn good from what I saw.

Re: 1992 Dodge Daytona Iroc R/T $1000.00 or part out.

I don't have a problem with Cindy. We have had words over things before when Jackson was involved but I never held a grudge and still went to her for parts and information. I even recently asked a local about a Shelby Dakota for her and sent her pics. There was nothing in it for me, I just wanted to help her out. I understand what she is saying and half agree but, I bought a rust bucket car from Jackson last year and sold the car for 600.00 so there is no way I would let this car go when it has everything minus top end engine parts for less then 1,000.00.. I have valve covers, cam gears, someone could use the rockers at their own risk, rocker shafts w/ bolts, 20 lifter disks, and the snorkel..

I have all the factory air box stuff too.. Forgot to mention that. I will get better pictures of the under side but that is not easy right now. The pictures in the thread were taken at my dad's shop where the floor is concrete, the car is now in my barn where the floor is dirt so getting the jack stands to not sink is a job in itself. I will put something under them and get better pics tomorrow.

People in the southern states take these rust free chassis for granted. Coming from the rust belt, I'd drop a grand on this car in a heartbeat.

Pains me to see a rust free car being parted, let alone an IROC R/T.

    Goodluck with your sale.

Re: 1992 Dodge Daytona Iroc R/T $1000.00 or part out.

Well I was doing mental arithmetic and I reckon ninjas + trans + R/T radiator + body kit + scrap weight of everything else comes to a bit more than a thousand. So the value would be there even if the rockers and floor were gone and nothing at all from the engine bay or interior was useable. The L bodies are feeling the pinch for glass, might not be that many years before someone looks back at this thread and thinks "Man, I'd have taken that for the glass"

Plus I guess there's a chance that if you've got a buddy who is really skilled at welding on heads and building up cams, that the TIII bits could be saveable with a lot of effort. Paying commercial rates to someone whol really knew their stuff would probably break you though. The problem being I guess that there's more good R/T shells than good running TIIIs to go into them. Though Juggy has a TIII head up for sale if that tempts anyone.

I kinda think that if he'd have left it buttoned up, "R/T, nice body, something wrong with motor, doesn't run" instead of doing the teardown and listing everything for you, he might have had takers at $1200-1500.

If it has a clear title it is worth a grand IMO. How many IROC RT's did they make? Not to mention how many per year. The numbers are what's worth the money. But hey, if he parts it all the others will be worth more Anyway, let's not crap up the thread anymore, any further non-sale-related bickering will be moved or deleted.

Re: 1992 Dodge Daytona Iroc R/T $1000.00 or part out.

not to mention its a 1992

the wiring and SBEC for the TIII engine is worth about 1/2 the asking price...I sold a 92 r/t computer for $350 alone by itself...add in the ninja rims, rad/cooler, 568 trans....

1000 bucks is more then a steal for this car. If I had the money and way to get it, i would scoop it up no problem and drop my TIII engine in there, get it a paint job, then turn around and sell it for over 6000 bucks. its ok, i know that nobody here would pay that price, but there is someone out there that would

Re: 1992 Dodge Daytona Iroc R/T $1000.00 or part out.

It was gonna cost $600.00 to have it shipped to WI.. $1,600.00 might be too much to pay for a shell to most. If you had a running engine then $1,600.00 might not be to much for a complete shell with everything ready to except the engine transplant. I know everything works because I was driving this car a month ago and I have vids. I did forget to mention that it does not have the 160 speedo anymore. I traded that to Jackson so it has a 91 Shelby 140 speedo. Mileage was very close however.

Re: 1992 Dodge Daytona Iroc R/T $1000.00 or part out.

i know that nobody here would pay that price, but there is someone out there that would I enjoyed that from post #14 above. It is also true that the fewer of these there are the more the remaining ones are worth.Think back: the muscle car years when most people had no clue that they would be worth a fortune 25 years later. My buddy Brian had a 440-6 pack Cuda convertible in the 80s that he scrapped as it had rust. Now he's kicking himself in the butt for that, but hey it's too late. The same applies here and today. No matter what they are worth now they will only go up in value later. You just have to be willing to hold onto something for the long haul. It's easy enough to part out a car and make $ on it.....I've done that a few times over the years too but it would be nice to save a car that had a limited run and had high perforamnce.

----ing great price, my first thought upon checking this thread "hummm cheap" I was expecting a rust bucket. a grand wont even paint a car let along fix/hide rust.

what we need to do is move these rust free shells north and working long blocks down.

Sad part is that from the offers I have got on some of the parts and the prices I have been told to ask for certain parts, if I part this car out then I will get 2,200 give or take and that is with me keeping the chassis for a drag car.. But, as of right now I just want 1k for everything. I hope someone takes it because I hate to part it because it is a R/T and I don't feel like tearing it all down.
