    Brake pad options

On my glh omni I have far an front calipers and vented rear discs. I just used parts store high end pads for now but I might be doing some track days this year and was looking into more race oriented pads... All I found was 911 pads from fwd for front and hawks for rear are there any other options out there for these brakes.

Yeah, you can go with Carbotech or Porterfield. They're going to have much better options depending on how serious your are.

Cool thanks the carbotech looks to have great options for a very wide range of stuff. Have u used anything from them? Most of there compounds recomend not for street use due tO noise and dust. I wonder if that's just to cover there ---? I love when people bring in there cars that come with factory race brakes like Brembos and whine that there brakes are noisey....

Yeah, they have a wide range of options. I have the 1512 Bobcats on my Stealth right now and I love them. They stop very well and they aren't noisy at all. However, anything above those are going to dust and make noise. They are really meant for auto-x/track use.

Sort of on topic... which brake company would put brake material on the plates you sent them?

Carbotech and Porterfield will both do that.

    Re: Brake pad options

It all depends on how far you want to go with your brake pads.
If they don't dust, it doesn't brake enough for me.
As for the noise, some may or some may not.
On many previous brake pads that I own they all had some brake noise issues(per the box description). Compare to others with the same compound, mine never squeals

If they do use our back plate, I guess they use rivet instead of bonding them?

I am probably will have to go that way. At least there is some hope because Hawk isn't offering anything form the HP+ and above. A brand I was usually buying because the price was right vs the performance offered.
