with the WG hooked up with just barely any tension and a straight line to the actuator minimum boost is 15psi at redline. Put the ball and spring back in the grainger valve and set it as loose as we could get it. OMG the boost spools so quick. Have to add a wee bit more fuel and pull some timing. We could hear it detonating a little, but the knock sensor was showing no knock on the scanner.

All in all I'd say the ATP SV rocks. When I put the ported head on my 2.2 and rebuild the S60 I think I'll be swapping to one as well.

Seat of the pants results may be deceiving {ie: Simon Sez} but I'll still take this as good news!

Agreed on the Simon Sez thing. But I'm not saying we're making way more power. Just that the boost is right now and minimum boost is very high. I want to get the Cal dialed in, then plans to port the WG hole and it'll be ready for some track time I think.

All in all driving it around town is a freaking riot. I'd get in so much trouble if I drove this thing every day.

I did one on my SL with the big pump and bracket in place because I foolishly started making the whole exhaust when I had nowhere near the time to do it, so certainly no time to swap a PS pump setup!

It ended up really, really tight, and quite a challenge to get it to work without hitting anything. It ended up being a highly cut 90* with an angle change in the middle of it to bump it around a stud IIRC.

I didn't do a damn thing to the SV, just bought allen head bolts ahead of time. Went from completely bone stock everything to a full 3" mandrel w/ a muffler and a resonator and the ATP SV. The car still uses MP ECU Boost control, and the stock exhaust part throttle "limit" used to be 5 psi, and now it can't bring it under 9 psi. The first three WOT stabs it spiked to 20 psi with the learned control logic from the stock stuff until it adjusted itself back to 15.

Sounds like similar results as everyone else. If you're not up for a challenge though, definitely switch out to the ZF pump and ditch the bracket as discussed.

how is it every thread I find interesting has someone mentioning (and therefore antagonizing) Simon in it?

couple questions for those who've installed these.

    - total cost in parts it took to get this to work?

    - amount of fabrication less or more than going external?

on a street setup, I'm a TU SV devotee. more than pleased with the performance results and the relative ease in fitment. but seeing some of this, have to think if I wanted to go past that level, I'd be going external and it would be the same level of fab with possibly better fit. you all have me curious what I'm going to do with my next project.

Price of the SV, a ZF pump setup. And probably $100-150 in exhaust parts.

If your keeping the stock exhaust manny, and turbo setup I think this is the way to go.

ok - what about fabrication time? looks pretty involved. I think you guys are going to need to post some dyno sheets before Simon gets his panties bunched up.

Fab was left up to the shop doing the whole rest of the exhaust. Unfortunately he didn't remove the lower brace on the pump and the bend is tighter than I would of liked but still much better than stock.

We don't care much about the dyno #'s. Right now we just trying to get it dialed in.

wow that's tight. no room even for a heat shield for the PS pump, from the looks of it...

    hmmm....on a quick search -

94-8 cummins turbo adapter (turbo to exhaust), according to seller on ebay. viable solution? any one happen to know the dimensions? seems to have more of a bend than what I remember seeing previously, but I haven't gotten drawn into the holset scene and know next to nothing about them.

I'll try to get some more pics later with the hood up, there's quite a bit of clearance, it's not close to the ZF pump. Easy to get a heat shield on it if need be. Just the bend of the exhaust is tighter than need be because of the lower bracket. I would of liked to have seen a radius like Todd has but I think ours is more like 3.5-3.75" ish.

looking for width, basically - v-band to far side of flange...I'm only guessing that is typical donut type, not a second v-band like I thought I remember seeing elsewhere? it almost looks like that might work with a stock pump and the ATP. just curious.
