well we're not going to buy either one, I was just curious as to Shadow's thoughts about them if we were to copy them on a 8v with the ATP setup vs maybe the TU 3" or even his SV. If we should keep the ATP setup or get rid of it because of having to make that tight bend.

Bryan just bought the ATP downpipe for his GLHS/Holset build
FYI it looks nothing like the one in the top picture you posted Jay.

Interesting to hear about the failures of the Saginaw pump, guess Ive just been lucky with them.
I think it has to do with age + RPM. Usually ends up being the shaft seal that goes out. One of the nice things about going manual rack in the Charger was I couldn't keep either type of pump alive for any decent period of time with the RPM I run in that car. I was going to retro-fit an SRT-4 pump, but the manual rack took care of all that.

Also, this is the first year in 3 I believe where I didn't find the time to make 1/2 dozen of my 3" S/V's. Been getting ppl PMing and emailing me enough that I would have sold them all. Now I can see why, when you add up time + cost of ALL the pieces you need to make the ATP piece work it's more $'s + way more work for no real benefit.

Bummer, as I was hoping that piece would fill a nice gap in the market and allow more ppl to get a great S/V/downpipe set-up as I will always only have time for very limited runs

Well soon as we find a ZF pump it's going to the local exhaust shop that does mandrel bending for a full system if we feel like it's a doable thing.

I'm assuming the brackets are different as well?

Lots more room with the ZF pump in a 8V application using a log manifiold. You can get both a 4 and 4.5" radius to clear the ZF pump. Those sizes won't clear with the Saginaw pump. Obviously the bigger the radius of the turn the better it's gonna flow, but it also has to fit (lol)! Another benefit of the ZF pump it gives you more clearance for a large plenum on the 2 piece intakes.
IMO, failures of PS pumps is almost always because of either contaminated fluid or wiping out the shaft bushing from being way too tight.
You probably won't use the rear bracket for the ZF pump. I've ran one on my GLHT for 10+ years without the rear bracket. Doesn't fit with a TBI header anyway (lol).

Yes, and I am helping another local set his up at the moment. Here is a pic of mine on mule motor. What rear bracket? LOL, the rear bracket seems like it's missing about 75% of the time. Not needed. This is 4.5". 4" radius has .25" more clearance or so.

Todd, are the belt lengths the same between pumps?

Believe the ZF is a 15410 vs 15430 used on the Saginaw pumps. 2" might be a bit much to account for in the adjustment?

Also THANKS Todd. For some reason it didn't cross my mind to ditch the lower part of the bracket (I usually try to keep things as stock as possible), doing so should get our project moving along.

Thanks Blue Shadow, we ended up getting a 1" shorter belt than what we were running. I can get the exact length if wanted but we had to go custom as there's a UDP on the crank.

What about using a pipe doughnut, can get much tighter bends that way.
