    Oil galley Plug or Coolant Plug?

    I did some research to no avail. what is behind this plug?

    damn i was kinda hoping coolant.

    i had some coolant spray on my IC pipes which appeared to be coming from that general area. i thought i saw some coolant weeping from that plug...must have been oil or from somewhere else....thanks guys

    def could be. ive kinda got a makeshift extension on there now so it is def suspect but never APPEARED to be wet.

    engine is out of the car now so i cant really trace down any further at the moment. just trying to get it fixed before it goes back in

    Unless the head is cracked near there, it was most likely that coolant line. I personally doubt the head is cracked.

    The big frost plug below is coolant.
    1989 FWD Turbo Caravan-2.5 TIII, GT35R, auto, a/c, cruise, pwr windows/locks, fully loaded with interior and ran with full exhaust. RETIRED FOR A FEW YEARS! 12.57@104 :O)

    I remember the day a buddy fired up a car and had forgot to plug that hole.....LOL....the freshly cleaned and painted engine bay was instantly winterized hahahahahha

    its amazing how fast 5 quarts of oil can spray out of that freeze plug
