I got the battery installed in the trunk in my daytona lately and after ready on multiple forums it seems that unsealed battery's when charging lets harmfull vapor's out , so im wondering when looking at my battery if i can use hoses on the side of cells and getting those out under the car will get all the vapor out , I do drive with the kids and I dont want to hurt them ,HELP !!

My Deka Intimidator lasted like 7 years so $130 is worth it, played radio with car off for 7-8 hours a few times, car sat for like 3mths then fired up, over 2000w rms of audio, dont be cheap on a battery, you guys have orileys or something there? They sell them just relabled, a good AGM battery is worth its weight, plus you can mount it upside down backwards catiwampus

They used to sell an Orbital gel cell, I had one, lasted me a long time like 6 or 7 years I want to say and went thru like 3 diff cars, one time left my hood open and dome light on all night and day, a good 20 hours and the truck still fired up

I have a regular acid filled battery in my neon in the back. Zero fumes. What I did notice, was at one point, a different battery in the same location was not accepting a charge and boiled over a little, leaving a yellowish white stain in the trunk.

a neon have a closed trunk , less harmfull than hatchback cars like daytona's , ive read somewhere that nhra rules ask for sealed box for the battery but thats maybe for explosion or crash purpose

For sure, it's not the same, all I'm sayin' is when I open the trunk, I smell nothing.

you also have to remember a flooded cell is flooded, it can slosh and get acid on your interior, or in a wreck depending how the car ends up it can leak on your face
