need wheel weight numbers for oem 15s/16s

That would put the weight of the wheel at 7-8 lbs! That seems really... improbable. Who has actually dismounted the tire and weighed the wheel?

Yes 7 to 8. I'm basing it on published tire weight versus total mounted scale weight which should be real close. I'll put a 14 and a 15 on a scale next dismount.

Update: Neon alloy spare combo is 16.65 total, rim only is 8.05 lbs. I'll get the exact weight on the PT alloy spare later, but it should be about 9 pounds.

Thread from the dead post. I weighed a 15x6 steel rim and a 15x6.5 crab rim tonight. The crab came in at 18lbs and the steel rim at 15lb. Now that I'm posting this I realize I should have weighed the 6" crab that was there too. I've been trying to decide on slick sizes vs wheel widths, weights and asthetics. Not sure the 3lb penalty is worth the looks, undecided on the effect the wider rim may have on the contact patch.
