    I think I've seen that style once or twice, pretty rare though. Dunno how good they are.

    It was a dealer "upgrade" radio. Nothing special, not really that good.

    Yeah I think I still have the "sound systems' brochure in the owners manual package and there were a few of those dealer installed radio options listed. I cant imagine how much they cost 18-20 + years ago, probably a fortune even by todays technology standards.

    Not to hijack, but since this is a weird radio thread (and I initially thought I had the same one OP posted prior to maximizing it), is this one unique at all? I pulled it from a really low mileage mid-90s P-body.

    back in the late 80's 90's the stock radio options where around 800 to 1200 bucks cheaper to get a Rockford Fosgate punch 150amps, mtx terminator sub woofers and aftermarket tuner and speakers for cheaper back then.
