    Vacuum lines and fittings

I have a 1991 shelby daytona that the vacuum lines and fittings are all old cracked and splitting. I could use everything from the back of the valve cover where it all connects to the intake manifold. Its the only thing keeping me from getting this running so any help is much appreciated. I have tried the dealer and they had some of the parts but theres a couple pieces I need pretty bad.

    Re: Vacuum lines and fittings

You remove the factory stuff and make up a vacuum block, then run all the vacuum lines from one area. You can buy them or make your own using a air compressor block, it goes at the front where the 3/8 fitting is.

    Something like this-

    Re: Vacuum lines and fittings

That is an option but I am trying to keep it original. The big mess is all the crap that goes to the airbox. I have all that but what a headache. Iam really only missing 1 rubber fitting that goes from the manifold and has 2 different size vacuum lines going to it. I have a picture of it but not sure how to post it.

You have to become a member or link using a photo site like Photobucket.

We all redo the lines, the factory way is a mess, headache and a potential for leaks.

    Re: Vacuum lines and fittings

I understand what your saying. I know my post count here is only 7 but I have been around turbo dodges for awhile. I have a mityvac and Iam in the process of eliminating every leak I can find. The engine was rebuilt before I got it but it fried the # 1 cylinder and was blowing oil everywhere and its kicking out a wastgate code so Iam not taking any chances when I put it together. I just need this 1 piece to finish it and just want to keep it original.

No problem, just post up using PB or similar the piece you need.

if you can get the part number of what you need (assuming it is in the part book) post it. you may have to go to the dealer to look at a pic of the vac connections.

you can mail me at mkolner14@hotmail.com with the info
