Im sorry but I cant see us getting a tent again like that. It took alot to get what we had last year. Ralph was actually pretty good friends with one of the guys that helps run the show and that was the main reason we got the tent. I remember him forwarding all the emails it took back and forth to make it happen.....

Dave and I have been talking about getting out to Carlisle for years and July is so busy that it hasn't happened yet. Maybe this year?

The SV crew will have a strong showing at Carlisle. Normally we throw a saturday night picnic bash at a rented spot just off the property and invite our club and forum friends. This bash had been highly successful in previous years. Last year family issues with some of the members (including myself) kept many of us from attending. I was especially saddened that we didn't have the picnic when I heard of Ralph's passing since I always got to spend time with him at Carlisle. Will be doing our best to restore the SV saturday night bash this year.

It's definitely worth making the trip atleast once. I do agree with the busy schedule as I have intended on making the Nats and just can not seem to get out there.

I double dog dare you to go. It's on par with the Nats, here is the difference, Carlisle is better run, larger swap field, probably more show cars but not by much, the Nats is at a track and the night life is better, Carlisle has no shenanigans. There is a track, Quarter Aces Drag-O-Way and they do an all Chrysler event Friday night, cool track from the fifty's complete with a banked curve at the end.

I think you're talking about Ford Carlisle lol... He won't show up to Chrysler Carlisle that's for sure.

Yeah, the lack of a track event has probably kept me from there the most as none of my cars are really "show cars". Nice to hear there is a track nearby, but thats a long haul for a 1/8 mile.

No promises, but it is definitely on the "to do" list

JT, It is a great time even if you don't bring your car to show. Of all of the times I have been there I have never made it to the dragway. Not really interested in racing 1/8 mile and after a long day walking the show and swap fields it isn't high on the priority list to go watch.
