    1991 Dodge Spirit R/T - 3.0L/A543 - Fun Daily Driver - $1000 FIRM

    Date: 11th February 2012
    Username: nmw2006
    Full Name: Nathan Willbur
City, State, Zip: Hilliard, OH, 43026
    Contact: nmw2006@gmail.com or 419-6five1-90three7
Selling or Wanted Price: $1000 EDIT: WILLING TO TRADE for a small tandem axle trailer/race trailer +cash or straight up depending on what you have!

Description: I am posting my ex-daily driver up to see if there is any interest. All proceeds will go into getting my new project going: Project Phoebe

This car is NOT pretty, but it is quick, solid, and very well built and maintained. In my 5 years of driving it, i have rebuilt or replaced just about every part at least once. I didn't spare any expense on making sure this car was reliable and would trust it to go anywhere. All parts listed were NEW when installed. I have used this car for a few dragstrip passes as well as an occasional autocross. Runs perfect.

Pictures can be seen here: Pictures (Not current, but show all but minor front damage, more available upon request.)

    Body:
    1991 Spirit R/T with ~150k
Clearcoat peel on bumpers and just starting to lose paint on hood/roof.
Rust on bottom of doors / passenger side floorboard / rear crossmember.
    Several dings/dents around whole car.
Currently lower hinge on driver's door is broken loose from door but I'm working on getting this fixed.
Slight body damage to front end from a tractor-trailer tire blowing out in front of me. (scratches / dents in hood, broken grill, crack across bottom of windshield)
Passenger's side rocker panel molding was removed but will be included with sale.

    Motor:
    3.0L from a 96 Caravan with ~80k
Schneider Racing 6610 valve springs installed - Ready to rev to the moon.
    A/C Delete
Converted to Nippo style alternator / starter
~35k on following parts - water pump, alternator, power steering pump / lines, starter, all idlers / tensioner, all belts / hoses, radiator, distributor, all top end gaskets / seals
~5k on tuneup parts - plugs, wires, cap / rotor, air filter, fuel filter
Amsoil 0W30 used since installed / Will change before sale and will be good for 25k or 1 year
    Polybushings mounts all around
    Optima red-top battery included

    Trans:
A543 with 3.77FD that i picked up locally and replaced seals
    Drain plug mod added
~5k on stock TIII/V6 clutch / pressure plate, clutch cable
~35k on selector and crossover cables
Polybushings shifter bushings and solid bobble strut
A little tough to get into 1st gear on really cold mornings, but may just be an adjustment / cable issue.
Spare trans comes with the car (needs rebuilt)

    Susp:
~5k on all ball joints / tie rod ends / wheel hubs/bearings / sway bar bushings / alignment
Strut mounts / rubbers squeak especially when cold.

    Brakes:
~15k on all calipers, rotors, pads

    Tires:
~15k on 205/65R15 Bridgestone Pole Positions on stock rims. Plenty of tread left.

    Fuel:
~2k on fuel tank / fuel pump / sending unit. Just did this as old tank had been leaking for awhile.
Added port for fuel pressure guage between hard line and motor.

    Exhaust:
Full 3" FWDP system with high-flow cat and Walker turbo muffler. Sounds nice.

Audio system removed and factory system installed
    Audio:
Full Alpine system with headunit, ipod, amp, 5.25" type-R door speakers, and 12" sub. Sounds sweet.

I am probably forgetting a whole bunch of stuff but I will edit later whenever i remember.

    Re: 1991 Dodge Spirit R/T - 3.0L/A543 - Fun Daily Driver

Other than the rust shown, the rest of the car is fairly clean, however i do realize that it may not be worth what i think/want or anywhere close to what i have in it. Dropping price to $2k OBO.

EDIT: I'll even deliver it to you pretty much anywhere for the price of gas and a plane ticket home I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere.

    Re: 1991 Dodge Spirit R/T - 3.0L/A543 - Fun Daily Driver

This car really needs a good home!!

Little update, Car was broken into on 5/3 sitting IN MY GARAGE! Only damage Is that the driver's door is really broken now along with the driver's fender dented in. Radio faceplate was stolen, it would cost $50 to replace it.

So going to try something different, i need a little tandem axle trailer/race trailer to tow behind my B4000 with my current project on it. So Price is now $1500 or will trade for a nice trailer + cash or straight up depending on what you have.

Please let me know what you have, Thanks.

    Re: 1991 Dodge Spirit R/T - 3.0L/A543 - Fun Daily Driver

Bringing this back from the dead...again. I'm putting the car on craigslist as well as dropping the price on here. I want this to go to a good home as I put WAY too much money in it to be thrown away. If some one on here would give me $1000 for it, It is yours. Surely someone needs a reliable daily driver/commuter or a first car for a youngling. Like I said before, I would trust this car to go anywhere...as well being built to last for a very long time.

I have a new door to put on...its white, but I'm thinking of painting it. Fender will be pulled out to the best of my abilities and paint touched up.

Also removed the Alpine audio system and put the factory Infinity system back in.
