Oil pressure drop during left hand turns

Hey, just curious if this is something that is normal... I noticed this the other day when taking a left hand turn hard... Oil pressure dropped, but only for a moment during the left hand turn... Any idea???

    is the oil level ok?

if you have a 2.5 with the balance shafts removed you can run into this problem if you don't switch to the 2.2 oil pan.

a short in the wacky random chryco oil pressure gauge system? Id install a real one oil gauge if you didnt already.

Or put in a windage tray in the balance shaft pan :-) Raccon gave you excellent advice. If you have balance shaft removed, you will need more oil in pan to make up for displacement that balance shaft assembly took. Ironically, I've noticed a fuel starvation issue in both 89 ES Shadows I've owned whenever I took a sharp (not necessarily hard) left turn.

I had similar issues and I have a 2.2 pan on my 2.5. I seemed to notice more on right hand turns though.

^^ yeah im guessing someone removed the balance shafts at one point, and maybe ur just a little low on oil... if you full on oil and/or you still have balance shafts, youll then want to get a good oil pressure gauge (for diagnostics) dosent have to be a perminent install... and closly observe what happens... monitor you idle pressure cold and hot... just throwing out an idea but it may be possible that your oil pump is weak and taking a hard left could maybe starve the oil pressure sender on the drivers side of the block...

Its also possible someone put the non BS oil pump pickup in, which wouldn't be good as it sits 2-3" higher,

Wouldn't a TIII already have the right pan or did they come with balance shafts?

T3 would have come with them. So the bigger pan/pickup to match.

In 89, there is only Daytona Shelby.

Shadow sometimes had the 2.2L as well.

Yeah, that one. Interesting on the Shadow, but then Dodge did weird things.
