Depending on your alignment that is going to be very close to the strut. if it doesn't hit the tire very well may. I'd recommend a 225 45 17 tire but if you find the rim does clear a 205 50 17 may be a better choice for this package.

Hey thanks for info. I just got my ground control adjustable coil spring kit so I hope to get little bit more room. Thanks again

Oh, you shoudn't have an issue using coil overs. They will just sit a little deeper in the wheel wells. You can run a small spacer to help things. What wheels are you looking at?

You definitely CAN have an issue using coilovers if the threaded sleeve goes any lower than the factory spring perch did.

17x7.5+45 is REALLY tight. Get some 5mm spacers for extremely cheap off ebay or something, it will help if you need it.

I fit a 17x7.5 rim +48 on an L body, I'm sure you can run that wheel on a Daytona. The tire, not sure what would work, but keep it close to stock and you should be good clearance-wise.

I had 19x8 (~+38) and am currently replacing them with 17x8 (+38) on a Daytona.

    17x7.5 should be easy peasy

haha, i upgraded to the big brake kit, and it looked small...

I found the look on 19's to be an aquired taste, first time i saw it, i thought it looked stupid. Over time though i came to love the look. If i wasn't getting old I would stick with them...but i'm too old for all the rattling and jostling they cause

I didn't think the rotors looked too small though, this is probably the best pic to tell for comparison:

Going from 8" +38 wheel to a 7.5" +45 wheel gives you (slightly) LESS room in the inside.. The offset difference is bigger than what you gain from the width difference.

I still agree it will fit, though.

Looks like you have a bent rim on that second pic. That lip looks like it has a flat spot.

One of the many problems that comes with having a 19" rim and a ~1" tire. I used to get the rims straightened at least once a year because no matter how careful I drove i'd end up with warped rims over time. That wheel actually blew shortly after that pic and I found out the rim was cracked (no one would put a new tire on it for me).

Big, Big, Big part of the reason i'm dropping to those 17's in my thread.

Thanks, If the car ever becomes a dolly queen and just goes to car shows I will probably go back to those rims...its just not practical for any driving whatsoever on public roads (unless recently paved).

Thanks, I apologize for the misrepresentation, I wasn't exactly sure on the math...when i did it for trying to figure out if the 17x8's would fit i came out to .5" = about 7 mm, so i thought it would be equivalent.

On a related note, do 8" wide rims fit on L-bodies without sticking out? What offset? +35mm?

I'll be getting 8" rims with a +35mm ET that I THINK will sit right at the fender lip. +40mm would be safe with an 8" rim.

Well I was running a 17x7.5 with a +48mm ET, but I want a particular wheel, color and going to 5x4.5 bolt pattern anyways.
