    Turbo valve cover on tbi

My stamped steel valve cover on my 91 Daytona ES tbi is spewing out oil. I am thinking I will use my 1 piece gasket turbo valve cover I have laying around to alleviate this problem instead of running out to the yard for an aluminum tbi cover. What issues will I run to doing this? Are there any risks of going from a 2 breather setup to a 1? Thanks in advance.

I think the bolts are longer on the cast valve covers too. Personally, I'd go to a yard and get the bolts and correct valve cover so you're not messing with things you don't have to.

I ran a Turbo cover on my TBI motor. The problem is the air cleaner will hit the cover. I fixed this by using a TBI omni air filter assembly. I did not have any problems using 1 breather

Did you have the cover off recently? If so, did you use the cork which comes with the new gasket? You should just use RTV on the long edges or it will leak.

The tbi VC's also have the 'notch' on the top to clear the bracket & cables for the throttle, cruise and kickdown (if so equipped). Did you run into an issue with that stuff and clearance issues ?

Nope, did not have the vc off recently, it is probably has not been done since the 90's (if ever). Decided I am just going to swap to the aluminum tbi valve cover to avoid the hassle. Thanks again.
