    Which prop valve to use?

There seems to be some controversy over the prop valves. Some people have stated that all 4 wheel disc brake cars used the same prop valve even if the car had solid discs in the rear and P, G, H, A, etc...

I had a friend look up the part #s for 1990 cars and it shows different prop valve part #s. here's what he wrote:

    ************************************************** ****
    P body:

4485 601 VALVE ASSEMBLY, brake diff, w/proportioning, w frt disc brakes rear drum

    4485 411 w 4wheel discs

    G-body:

4485 482 valve assembly brake diff w/proportioning, w 14” wheels, with 4 wheel disc brakes***

    4485 829 W/15” wheels , w 4wheel discs

    4485 829 w/14” wheels and 15” wheels w/frtdisc rear drum

    ************************************************** *****

So... I guess I should look for the 829 prop valve? BTW...these #s came from a 1990 parts manual so the '89 shelby daytona prop valve may be different.

My VNT shadow has 4 whel discs but solids in the rear so I want the proper proportioning going to the larger 11" fronts and the larger 11" vented rears vs 10" fronts and solid rears.

Going with the 24mm MC as well. Wouldn't the 1" MC be better than the 24mm? After all... 1" is 25.4mm.

I would use the "829" prop valve.

larger MC gives you a firmer pedal. I am using the Bvan MC, and I could put my head thru the windshield if I want, using the 11 inch front setup,

That's what i am guessing...the 829. I just need one. What sucks is I passed on about a dozen or so in the junkyards and cars I parted. I remember taking a couple, but just cannot find out where the heck they are as they are not at my new house. Hmmm.....
