G body, 84 to later spring swap Qs

M'kay, its been said the '84 Daytona has smaller springs than some of the later ones, are they smaller in terms of overall width, seat etc, or is it just that the spring rate is lower?

<bump> again ... its no biggie, I'd just like to beef up the springs a little

84-86 front springs are different from later years. i think it is how the strut spring seat and/or the top spring seat is different. I have a sheet on this I think but it will be a day or two before I can get it.
All i can remember is that all rears are the same from 84 on up.

    Thanks - thats helpful already

Any additional info would be appreciated, if its just the top strut mounts, bearings and spring seat (in addition to the springs themselves) that need changing I can keep my eyes out for the right bits ...

somewhere in the 86 model year they changed everything. the original order sheet for my 86 k wagon falls after the change was made. so the car was obviously built after the change. i think the change was in early february of '86!!
