    Western Canada Thread

Calling out all Western Canada TD enthusiasts!

There is a Turbo Dodge meet scheduled for May 26th, 2012 in Red Deer, AB at Great Chief Park. We will be having a BBQ and a cruise, and showing off some TD's! In addition, we are hoping to start an SDAC chapter, so this will also be the inaugural AGM.

Anyone interested in a Western Canada SDAC chapter (or just interested in turbo Dodges and BBQ's!!!) is encouraged to join us.

We have people coming from Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Cranbrook and other areas, so if you want to someone to caravan to Red Deer with, let us know.

I'm debating on which way to go. I can drive east and up highway 2 or go through Banff/Canmore. If there are any guys driving from these areas let me know. A Red Deer bound caravan on a 110km/h 2 lane highway would be a blast.

www.turbo-2.com is now defunct, but shelby-Charger (Mike) has a snap-shot/exact copy of it and is running it at www.turbo-2.ca
DJ also has a copy of turbo-2.com and it can be accessed in the archives section of his new forum.

    Re: Western Canada Thread

May 26th has come and gone, more details will follow, but 17 members (and about 10 cars... did anyone get an actual count?) attended the first ever WC-SDAC meeting.

    DJ was eleceted Vice President
    Katlaw was elected Secrretary/Treasurer
and people generously showed their confidence in me by electing me as President

The meet was AWESOME!!! The turnout was better then I expected, the weather was perfect, and the burgers were tasty! It was great to see old friends once again, put some faces to forum handles of people I hadn't met in person yet, and to meet some altogether new enthusiasts!

We're already thinking about next years Red Deer meet, it should be even bigger and better! I'm very excited and feeling very positive about the future of TM's in Western Canada!

Thanks to everybody who showed up and made it such a successful day!

    Re: Western Canada Thread

I didn't expect such a turn-out! We had a great time, good food and good people. We had huge interest in WC-SDAC and I'm excited about the future of our chapter. I couldn't help but notice it was a family event as well as a car show. Met some real young fellas who are just chomping at the bit to work on and drive their parents cars. Parents not so excited!
