I know the T2 rods used full floating pins, but would press fit pins work in here as well or would you have to get the bushings resized?

Press fit uses no bushing, so anything with a bushing installed wont work.

Both the 2.2 and 2.5 rod are the exact same. There are light weight rods and heavy duty rods. These are hd rods. Looks like they use a floating piston. Only difference in a 2.2 vs a 2.5 is crank and pistons. Thats it.

I think he was asking because he intends to use the piston. It appears he already knew it was a CB and a Mahle.

I believe it is from a 2.5 since there are no side skirts on the piston...

It is from a 2.5 but the piston is toast anyway. The bolts are ARP with 2k BTW.

No, the bushings look great. 2k miles and the engine did not loose oil pressure.

I didn't think our cars came with anything forged.

TI's didn't until 89 when the rods were forged (not 100% on this). TII's had forged cranks and rods, TIII's had forged crank, rods, and pistons. TIV is basically TII.

Short of me missing two nuts, these sell for $249 through FWD. Either they sell none, or the $60 I was asking (figuring shipping to be $15) is a steal.
