So what does it currently weigh?

2150 with me in it(160lbs) and 7 gallons of fuel
Nice!
Do you have a breakdown of your current build?

Thanx alot, looking for any advice I can get on it, it has an fwd stage 5 cal that I have the afr at 11.4-11.8 at full boost on E85, it does have part throttle lean issues. I have the bigger turbo and intake and tbi header, I have 83lb and 100lb injectors for it also, I am relying on the meth kit to not be lean now so.....
Most of it is listed in this thread but, 89 60+K mile 2.5 balance shafts removed, stock head, tbi cam, stock 2 piece intake, stock small tb,stock exhaust manifold, small compressor housing 50 trim w/46 hot side, 3"exhaust with a Mopar muffler from a new dodge truck cat back system side exit at rear end, fwd stage 5 cal/3 bar map, msd wires/blaster coil(which i am sure eats HEPS). It has +40's with stock regulator and return line restricted to give me 63 psi static fuel pressure, 255 pump, spearco meth kit(330cc)running 68% meth concentrate, pretty much stock a413 with rmvb(set at 115 psi) huge cooler and welded diff. and its light....2150 with me in it centerline auto drags 15x8 or 8.5( i cant remember) w/24x8.5 m&h racemasters and 15x3.5 with 145-15 street tires in back.
And not to start an argument, our track it at 4700 ft and the corrected alt was 9900ft on this pass......
SO i was kind of surprised to see you pick a 3071 since that's not a particularly big turbo for a car that already runs mid 11s.. I wasnt even sure if it was bigger than what you had!
So when you say small housing do you mean T04B instead of E, or a machined stock-style T3 housing?small compressor housing 50 trim w/46 hot side,
And on the turbine side, not sure what you mean by 46. Do you mean .48 a/r stock turbine housing? What turbine wheel is in it?
Dont push the red button. You hear me?
How does it drive with the welded diff on the street? Ive been wanting to try that for years.

This is the turbo that is on my car

I got the 3071 off of here, sure it will be a big improvement over what I have

Well..... I will tell you this, it scrubs tires pretty bad(although I run alot of - camber went through 3 pairs of drag radials in 8 months) and if you ever let it wheel hop , it will cost you an axle. I am so glad I put power steering back on the car when I switched it to an auto, and any boost + curve = scary ----. Really for anything other than a weekend fun car the average person would hate it, but me, I end up usually driving it to work one or two days a week....(just hoping to get a race on the way home)
Wow, yeah you have a pretty small turbine to be trapping 115 but considering full weight cars can trap 108-110 with a maxed out stock garrett i guess its not too crazy to do 115 in a lightened car with an upgraded compressor.
The gt30 will be a massive upgrade. This is kinda funny but i think you may accidentally end up in the 10s with this car. LOL!
Dont push the red button. You hear me?
I'm running 80mph in the 8th on a stock turbo at 20psi in a 3000+lb Lebaron
good job!!! I am getting my shadow ready to run here soon cant wait
fun build!

Altitude is not hurting much except that your compressor maxes out sooner with the thin air but since you have a small turbine setup it probably balances out better then at sea level.
Now for n/a cars, its a huge difference. Since your compressor is working really hard, your intake temps are also a lot higher which would cause knock but with E85 you basically knock out that problem , especially spraying meth on top of E85 (what I did). Realistically the difference from the rocky mountains and sea level is having to run 2-3psi more boost to get the same results and that sucks if you are running pump gas but its not a problem on race gas or ethanol. Your motor doesn't have to work harder because the final compression ratio is the same less the heat differences that are negated by Ethanol fuels.
Since your turbo is maxed out (choke flow) that is your problem at high altitude. You would get a couple more pounds of boost at sea level and a few mph. If your turbo was not maxed out then you would have no performance difference.

I don't come on here much anymore so I just saw this thread Nice job Dude! Now spray it into the 10's with a 75hp shot! A 50 shot gave me 5 mph in my van!
I just saw one of your videos posted in 3si.org where the vr4 you raced was sharing his side of the video. He seemed to think you were already running a 150 shot when you raced and thinks your motor popped 2 weeks ago. I posted that he ran against a 0 shot :P
