DD1: '02 T&C Ltd, 3.8 AWD. DD2: '15 Versa Note SV, replacing.. DDx: '14 Versa Note SV << freshly killded :( ....... Projects: '88 Voyager 3.0, Auto with shift kit, timing advance, walker sound FX muffler on 15" pumpers wrapped in 215/65/R15 H rated Nexens.... and a '95 phord escort wagon PnP head << Both may need to go :( ..... I like 3.0s ... so??? ... stop looking at me like I've got two heads!
The last time Matchbox and I was at Milan Rob and Bufford and Brad were under and over it trying to find the loud knocking noise and very low oil pressure. They found 1 1/2 spun rod bearings, replaced them with some used ones from a spare 2.5 TB that Rob had in the back of his truck. Upon startup the oil pressure was back and the noise was gone.....a few seconds later the loud knocking noise was back! As they grabbed stethascopes to hear where the noise was coming from it cleared up on its own!!!!!!!??????? Drove it back to the host hotel barely keeping up with Reeves and the Flectster at insane speeds (for Matchbox)....then took it easy drivng it back home. Brad found that at least one wrist pin had worked its way out and was hitting on the bottom of the bores skirt! Two more wrist pin/piston replacements were done on that old TB 2.5.....Brad and Nate put in a MUCH fresher CB 2.5 from a 94 Shadow and as I stated earlier in this thread....it is ironed out! I don't forsee any breakage on this trip.....knock on wood. Matchbox has not hit 80 in the 1/4 in forever, but the 2.teen short times put it nearly as quick as my low 12 second SRT4!

So who is going to win in Autox...who is going to hit the most cones????
I will be running on the same rock hard General Exclaim UHP's that I ran at the AutoX at SDAC20. I don't think they've gotten better with age! Somehow, I took a class win at that event. I wish these tires would wear out so I could justify something better. I think we are almost there.

Actually I screwed up my launch otherwise I would have qualified. IIRC I beat warren in the finals by .01 seconds or something ridiculously close like that. I took him off the line but he caught up and passed me just after we crossed the finish line. It was one of the most exciting races I have ever had.
