IMO, it's gonna be hard to leave an auto "untouched" between about 180 and 260 thousand... the brass bushings/washers are paper thin by then and I can't image the frictions have much left. It's a case of if you spare one you punish the other, drive moderately spiritedly and the shift is quicker, less grind on the frictions but it pounds the washers, drive like a stoned granny and it's easy on the bushings but the frictions have long slushy grinds.
DD1: '02 T&C Ltd, 3.8 AWD. DD2: '15 Versa Note SV, replacing.. DDx: '14 Versa Note SV << freshly killded :( ....... Projects: '88 Voyager 3.0, Auto with shift kit, timing advance, walker sound FX muffler on 15" pumpers wrapped in 215/65/R15 H rated Nexens.... and a '95 phord escort wagon PnP head << Both may need to go :( ..... I like 3.0s ... so??? ... stop looking at me like I've got two heads!
Or you just luck out like my mother did with her now 400k+ Lincoln Town Car, last trans flush was at 250k and the fluid still looks good. I must admit that I wouldn't want to go WOT with it in fear of something giving up as the trans was taking a long time to shift at WOT 50k ago.

Lancer #476 Auto 264K and still going without a rebuild on engine or trans. I will drive it till it disintegrates.
