    Re: .91 Transfer Gears

If I find them in the yard they cost me 10-20 bucks depending on who's working that day. The last set I sold I let go for $40 or so shipped? I've seen them go as high as $80.

They can come in just about anything with the 2.2 in it. They are a sure deal in an Omni or Horizon though. I have pulled them from a K car also.

So your the guy ripping all those covers off a413's They should be listed on the fendertag. Look for DLB or DLD if memory serves me correctly. That should be codes for 3.05 and 2.86 with .91 transfer gears.

Thanks a ton for that info. I've been checking the stripper models of cars pre 89' and I've been hitting about 40% or so.

Okay Simon you got me. Radiator core support tag.
Here is a little more related useless trivia for you. It is a correct restoration (Mopar muscle era) only if one of the two tags screws has body paint on it. I was told the tags were purposely bent upward on install so they could get painted underneath tag. Then later, tag was bent downward and second screw was put in. That second screw therefore was not painted. On FWD stuff, they omitted doing this and that is why all of our tags and core supports get all rusty under the tag.

THat is an interesting tidbit. The core support tags sure did rust right off of my shadow. I really liked the special handling unit tag too.

Yes I just found my gears and get this they are in my 1984 Aries,I started thinking about how slow my Aries use to be out the hole this car really runs great did not want to touch it. So I said to myself I will take the plate off just to see and there they are .91s now I will swap in my 1.06 gears in it Thanks for all the info sometimes you just have to look in your own back yard LOL

Could you check the core support tag to confirm which code it is for the .91 gears? If it's still there of course lol.

That code just acknowledges it being a a413. Is there another tranny code on the tag?
