SOLD!!! 1990 Dodge Spirit ES, 2.5L Intercooled Turbo, $2100

I am selling my 1990 Spirit ES. It has the 2.5L Turbo engine, 5-Speed manual A-523 transmission(3.50 FD), & 4 wheel disc brakes. White exterior, Grey interior. I have owned the car since 2007. It has 137k on it. This car gets 30+ mpg on the highway, has good tires all around, runs and drives great, and is pretty quick when pulling it's boost maximum of 12psi. It has been a great sleeper car for me over the years. I ran it in the 1/4 mile a year ago and was getting steady low 15's(15.1 was best e.t.). Since I have owned it, I have added the following parts: TII intercooler/radiator setup from TII Chrysler Turbo car, A-523 manual transmission conversion(it was an automatic stock), Accufab adjustable fuel pressure regulator, Mopar Performance "804" replacement injectors, DSM 1g blow off valve, Spectre cone filter air intake, PCV oil catch can, Borla muffler, AutoMeter Boost gauge and Air/Fuel gauge both in pod on dash. The paint has started to go away on the roof and hood. The interior is in nice shape. I own several of these turbo chrysler cars and have been building/racing them for years. I have performed all the work on this car. I have always maintained it with regular tune-ups, synthetic oil changes, and anything else it has needed. I went through the brakes a couple years ago and there is a lot of life left in them. I replaced the clutch last month. I had to replace the turbocharger about two years ago with a solid unit w/ no shaft play, which means the head came off during that procedure, Mopar Performance head gasket. I am hoping it finds a great new home. No trades accepted. Thanks for looking.

I might need to buy a car for the purpose of building credit but I don't know that I would have any luck getting financing for a private sell with my lack of credit history.

Paulsbo = the location according to craigslist which is near where UNA lives which scares me. I have family out there.

Here's how that scam works here, you might find it similar... basically, you won't get a car loan for less than 5K and it will have to be secured on something less than 10 years old.... this means the car lots are full of lipsticked pigs, normally worth 2-3K priced up to 5, so they can offer no-credit suckers financing at high rates of interest. Some lots aren't even in the car business, they're in the loanshark and repo business. The gold painted turd you're looking at on the lot there might have seen 4 or 5 "renters" thinking they were owners in the last couple of years. It's made the lot probably 6K or so for their thousand or two bucks worth of investment at the auction... and they still probably have collection agencies hounding all those previous suckers to squeeze a few more cents out of them.

Ergo, it's really only "safe" to buy cars from the cheaper cash lots, or to go on the hook for 7-10K at the better lots or with a financial institution loan on a 4 or 5 years old car.

So really, unless you can get a "general purpose loan" which might have higher interest, (And still be a 5k minimum) then I don't think you can fund this car that way. For the purposes of building credit, finance a laptop from BestBuy or somewhere like that. (Not from an "anybody gets credit" furniture appliances and laptops store, those are in that same loanshark/repo scam as the car lots) Or convince yourself you want a newer, spendier car and can get it from a higher end lot (Which might be a catch-22 in that you need credit rating to get credit there)

You may get approved for a personal cash loan from a credit union, if you have any credit history. Poulsbo is in Kitsap County. Who's UNA. And why are you scared?
