    HA... I hope so..

It looked better than I expected.. Which of course I wasn't expecting.. and I tried and tried to keep tabs on all the flaws.. but it was pretty typical turbo mopar BS...

Needs a couple tires.. E brake.. then get a handle on some pretty minor rust spots in the pan.. Do something about aftermarket sunroof.. and put an exhaust system on it.. We cut the down pipe free from the cat at the sellers home because I wasn't buying until the boost would come out to play.. and sure enough.. that cured it.. The cat was so plugged it was only allowing the car to make 8 psi or so...

Hail damage on hood/roof.. and a bump on the passenger rear... oh and typical spitting in the seats... and normal window felt, windows not working properly stuff...

But yeah.. other than that.. Really not bad.. Seriously.. overall it runs great, doesn't squeak rattle or shake, and really looks to have been cared for pretty well... MP stage 2 computer and magnecore wires to boot.. All the Shelby stuff is there... . and really nothing to be ashamed of when cruising town...

    What the heck...

. The car is staying at a friends house, so as soon as it comes home I will pop some pix up...

Nothing out of the ordinary for something almost 25 years old and well beyond its anticipated design life.

Ok... Now I am thinking I might have read or remembered the number from the plaque wrong... Or... maybe the plaque in the car was borrowed? My buddy is already asleep but I will have him check in the morning...

I just ran across this at some other site???

(if this isn't acceptable please don't hold it against me)

So either I am really lucky... Or... yeah... uhhh... Something isn't right... The car had a 520 in it... and showed plenty of typical wear.. Maybe I am remembering the number wrong...

87 CSX would have had the 520 transmission as stock. Maybe you got the number wrong ? These cars get passed around more than a dirty magazine at the circle jerk... god knows whats missing or has been 'borrowed' for another one.

Alright... SO here she is... Drove it around a bit last night.. Fun... but still has an issue where it is not building boost properly... even with downpipe chopped open.. I didn't hear a big boost leak and didn't see anything crazy.. but then again.. I haven't spent that much time with it yet...

    Re: 1987 csx #507

If any Mods check this.. Is there any way to change the title of the thread to reflect the proper CSX number?

Oh and this car is growing on me fast.. I love the GLHS.. and really enjoy a good daytona.. But this is the first P body anything other than Larry B's that I have even rode around in, let alone drove...

and for whatever reason.. This thing is really fun.. the shorter (lighter?)than daytona and just enough car over the L body platform almost feels right

Not to mention.. Besides a couple little things.. This car runs really strong for some reason.. Can't complain about that at all...

I want an Elise REALLY REALLY bad.. but I have a deal worked out with the wife in which our home must be paid for in full first... So that must wait...

But this other one.. Lets just say it doesn't impress me much... and the only place for one of these.. Well..

I am telling you... This CSX runs way better than it should....
