That looks really clean for how much you had to cut off.

Looks great, Adam. Let me know when you decide to take it out. My boys and I May come up to see the 9.9x in person. :-)
It really does look great. Have you done your alignment yet? Have you installed your axles yet? Just interested in seeing if you ran into any troubles.

What exactly is the cause of slicks moving. Does it happen at the moment of highest drivetrain shockload or at another moment...?

Tires will slip on the wheel bead when the torque applied to the wheel can not overcome the static friction between the tire and the ground, but it does overcome the static friction between the wheel and the tire.
This will typically happen at the launch for drag cars.
Sweet! Glad to see you were able to accomplish what you had in mind! LMK also when you plan on racing.

As I have been taking things apart/ looking over things for install of the 26s I have been finding and fixing issues that I come across. First is the top hats broke that came with the ground control camber plates. It's seems to be a design problem on there part. As you can see from the pic the weight of the car is supported be .065" flange under the trust bearing. I went ahead and made some new hat making them .250" thick in the problem area.
Next is the rack bushing on the driver side. The stock plastic bushing came out of the body of the rack, this resulted in a ton of driver side wheel play since there was nothing supporting the shaft. So I made a 630 bronze bushing and screwed it in so It can't come out. I don't know how long it was like this. Hoping this helps the 60'
A trade like yours really lends itself to fast Omnis.
totally badass.... everything.
im going to link this thread to a buddy that is looking for a fast car.... there is a spirit R/T for sale close to me..... there are a few rust free omnis around too amazingly enough.

Haha! Well every job has it's perks. This just so happens to be the only one I have with my job, but I make good use of it.
Thanks! I think if I had to do it over I would go 2.4 instead of the TIII. It is nice how the TIII is bolt in swap.
I would be happy to make you one. I thought this was a freak thing that happened, since I never read about it happening to anyone else. How did you come across the problem? Pulling all over the place going down the track?
Hi Adam.
I'd be in for one of those rack bushings as well.

Depending on price, I would be interested in one too. (assuming they are the same as what would be in a manual rack for an 80's Aries.)
Yay! Daddy's blue car is on 26s!

You should go to autozone and get those stick on numbers and put 26" on each side of the car. You know how people put like 20" and 22" on those stupid donks to indicate rim size, you can put 26" to indicate slick size. That would be funny.
I would pay to have a ride in that car.
