Just incredible. Simple, yet profoundly ingenious.
    Thanks guys!!

It's not like it's a DD so if it vibrates I'm ok with that. I really don't think it's going to be much worse then it already is. My setup before these billet mounts was pollybushing on driver and passenger side, and a solid mount going from the rad support to the k frame. This set up did vibrate more then stock, but was not as bad as I thought it was going to be.

Thanks that's reassuring. Are all your mounts solid?

Less movement is really what I was after. It may be a little less weight. I don't think it was moving a lot before this mount, but every little bit helps.

here's to hoping, but I don't have axle problems anymore, now I have input shaft issues.

Just wondering if you gong to start to flex/twist the block at high hp and shock loads with 3 solid mounts instead of 4

Did your axle setup really get tested? I thought the input shaft pretty much broke right away.

I'd be interested in purchasing a solid trans mount when you make yours. Could you make a extra one for me?

Yeah it may be alittle premature to say I don't have anymore axle issues, since I only lunched the car hard 5 times.

If you are running a 5 speed then yes. If your running a auto I think the mounts are different. Lmk

Due to the different nature of the car, I think solid mounts here will be ok, but I have experienced solid mounts on a roundy-round car with a NASTY cam in it....there's NO WAY you'd drive that any more than you absolutely had to and EVERY bolt on the car would need Lock-Tite or safety wire cause it vibrated more than a washing machine with a brick on spin cycle!

What are you going to do about cushioning the cross bolt so it doesn't work harden the aluminum or do you think that with the vertical bolt that will keep it tight enough to not have to worry about it?

Also, did you change the tilt angle of the engine at all or is it still 13*?

If it vibrates too bad I'll just put my old poly mounts back in.

I really had no thought of the aluminum work hardening. If causes a problem I guess I'll have to come up with something to fix it.

Engine is in the stock location.

I personally wouldn't worry about the cross bolt even without the vertical stud. There should be sufficient friction taking the load in the mount from tightening the cross bolt, but that's just a gut feeling.

My gosh - you are THE man when it comes to machining.
I just went through this with my sons CSX and the fact that the core support tore in two separate locations.
