There will be more fender cutting. I'm also going to have to move the wheel forward by .75"
I don't see the car eting what I want it to on the m&h 24.5x8.5x15. So I think this is the next step toward the et I want. I am expecting the worst, and hoping for the best. I talked to JT at Carlisle about what he went through with his 26"s. I am a little lighter then JT s car, but I do still expect to break parts. Breaking parts will just give me motivation to make stronger parts.
As the kids say these days,
"$#1+ just got real".

Yeah I could, but I'm think to really take a decent junk of weight (200lbs) out of the car I'll need to replace parts not lighten stock parts, and will be pricey.
lol
Got any pics of what/ where you had to cut. I know you and shadow run 26s on the charger/rampage. I don't know how much different the omni will be compared to them. Anyone else run 26s on a omni?
I run 25's and they rub dang near everywhere....but I'm really interested in you 26" idea.

The spacer is bolted on the back of the Bogart, but everything is just like the attachment.

If you don't like how they are fitting, just mentioning that the 24.5" SFWD record is 8.40's for 2400# cars and 8.7's with smaller turbos.
Reeves 25x9's are a great tire.
Then look at this tire that I had not heard of till I saw it recently ...http://www.mandhtires.com/M-H-Racema...3#.U9urEqPE734
.7 inches more tread width than what MT offers.

My wheels are 8.25" with a 5" back space. So tire will stick out 1" more then mine. I got the 24.5s to not rub turning lock to lock, so Im thinking I should be able to do the same with the 26s, if I move the wheel forward .75" and cut more on the front of the fender.
Yes they are going fast on a 24.5s. That was the other tire (m&h 24.5x9.5x13) i was considering, but I would have to buy different wheels, and brakes, and still have to cut the fenders because of the extra width. So we will see how the 26s work since Im not going to race in the SFWD class anyway.
Good idea moving the wheel forward. That is way easier to modify the front of the fender and the GLH skirt. How do you plan to move the wheel forward? Any worries about axle alignment?

Brian made the k frame for the cast arms, so the mounting ears for the control arms are close to 3" wide. Now that I have DJs arms I can position the arm anywhere within that 3" area be using spacer. I didn't think .75" would be an issue with axle alignment, but guess I'll find out.
