    Cam gear info

Ok, well instead of purchasing the $260 fwd adjustable cam gears for my hybrid project, I bought ones from a 95' nissan pathfinder 3.0l @ $30 a piece my cost from the dealer I work at. They are square tooth, so if you want a round tooth design, I was told 94' Nissan maxima 3.0 cam gears are round tooth. I'll post pics as I modify them.

    Re: Cam gear info

Actually since it appears to be next to impossible to get a commonblock square tooth crank sprocket, im going to order the round tooth sprockets from nissan tomorrow, here is what I found for the p/n, i will verify that these are the correct round tooth cam gears once I get them in:

Bueller? Bueller? Anybody know the number of teeth needed?

    I found this online - http://www.rockauto.com/dbphp/x,carc..._Sprocket.html

Still much cheaper than the FWDP option...

    Re: Cam gear info

I bought the cam gears and didn't make it any further than that. From what it looks like, you just need to modify the centers to fit the cams. I'll check the part numbers on them later on tonight.

Ok, the part number for the cam gear is 13024-0B710...Like I said just some slight machining of the center is required for it to fit on the cam. Also you have to grind a little notch for the timing marks if you want to. Will post pics of the cam gears in a few minutes.

    Cool,

Thanks for the reply. I found a set of these in the junkyard a while back and had them machined as well to fit the neon cams.
