    Did some work on the beast tonight, talk about a cork in the intake! it took for ever to cut with my metal blade in the sawzall. The new nepindenso altenator is so small compared to the orignal one. I also cut some of the metal inbetween the hood latch and rad support to test fit the fmic behind the grill, its on abit of an angle because my welder is out of argon so its just sitting in place for now. Boost geek's thread on his intake was alot of help, The pics do not do justice compared to seeing for your own eyes how small the opening is. I fly out to Hawaii on Tuesday for 3 weeks ...... but after that i will get alot more done to the car so i can hear it run.

    Its not running yet but getting close, i built my charge pipes and intake pipe from 3" madrels. Its so tight on that side i could not do 4" intake, iam not to sure my wastegate braket will stay on or make a new one again.

    I felt alittle creative after work so i made my down pipe, cut the top off the one piece and made a fitting for the oil feed line. I still cant belive how small and restricted the one piece really is, I dont think i will cut the runners as short as Boost Geek did on his. 3'' exhaust is pretty tight with all the bends to make it hook up to my old system.

    After meeting Simon on monday we were looking at his holset turbo and thought mine may have been a HE341 but it is not, ohwell it will work just fine for what i'am gonna do with this car.

    Yeah, the one piece sucks, its a wonder anyone can make power with it.

    I got to cut the intake up abit while at work today, still need to smooth out the openings abit. It should flow alot more air now, just not sure if i should go as crazy as Boost Geeks intake.

    I also got some new injectors, 72lb for a great price at the local speed shop. They look like they will flow alot of fuel.

    Are those inj's Low imp? (hope so) Build is looking good, HE341 is just slightly more turbo than a 50 trim stage 3, so still plenty of turbo there! You going with the 3.3 elbow and 58mm TB?

    Yup low imp injectors and i got the 3.3 neck to get welded on the intake. I have a 52mm Tb at the moment but will put a 58 on when the intake gets on the car.

    On the intake, I would not be afraid of going as short as you can. The biggest restriction is Not the one you took out by chopping and replacing the neck, it's right behind the inj bore.

    Now when it comes to runner size you can increase cross section or shorten runner length and to an extent, get roughly the same results. In your case you will have trouble really opening up that area of the intake, so I would shorten the runners.

    Here's how short I went........

    AFAICT IF you get the intake right and take the time to tune properly you will be limited by what that clutch can hold. Did you put +1mm valves in the head? F4 cam and Crane springs would deff wake things up

    Thanks for the tips Shadow, no i did not put +1 valves into yet. I will get my head redone over the winter by Steve M and i will have a back to back comparo on it. My clutch is a TU 6 puck with a yellow pp.

    I'am using my 88 2.2 turbo cam and stock springs for now untill i see how this motor works with all the mods, I wanna see where my PB is on the dyno and choose a cam from there. I'am not sure what cam and springs i will chosse.

    I would change the springs, I sell some nice Comp Cam drop in units or go conicals,

    S60 would be a good cam, lol.
