i did 15.7 @ 87 or 88 cant remember with a bone stock 3.0L and a 604 in a 88 reliant in drive and matting it on green.

i would hope that modded 5-speeds would be running 14's......

Mine should have run 14s, but I wasn't actually shooting for that when i put it together. I put this pressure plate in it, exactly as you see it, as an experiment. Stock v6/t1 pressure plate plus a heaping helping of rust. I kind of put it in as a joke because I knew it would more or less work regardless of looking like that.

That turned out to be a mistake as far as launching on slicks because it was clutch limited to a ~2.08 60'. I didn't foresee when i 5spd swapped the dynasty that it would be close enough to 14s right off the bat to make me regret my clutch choices, but oh well. I sold it cheap to a guy who talked a big game about using it to build a boosted 3.0/5spd van that never ended up happening. But yeah from what i know someone ran a stock 3.0/5spd shadow on 20" slicks to a 14.6 years back and a basically stock Dynasty (which is heavier) was one functional clutch away from 14s.

Not to knock on anyone's work, just saying it's possible.

When a car goes a little slow, there is always a reason. Sometimes it not so simple. My wife's 3.0 a670 felt good to me, but I didn't test it out.

My car has always been slow lol. It ran 16 flat consistently in stock form with a 5-speed and drag radials (and a leaky head gasket). Engine needs overhauled currently but it will have to wait. Considering sleeve(s) to fix a gouged cylinder or maybe a whole new block. Still beating myself up for not catching that bent oil control ring sigh.

You can bore .100 over, especially if you are not trying to make 1000+whp. Find the piston that will bore out the damage and it will work.
That said, not too spendy to get a new van or mitsu block.
While they sell them, never seen anyone actually repair sleeve their 6g72 cylinder.
