That hood looks like a hack job by someone. Isn't that setup going to suck hot, manifold-area air up OUT of the engine bay? As air runs across it, it induces a vacuum suction. Exactly why the fins on the factory vents are angled towards the rear. That's why DC had the cowl induction piece as well as a forward facing scoop for use with their intercoolers. The cowl hood sucks in high pressure air that rams the windshield, and a forward facing scoop causes high pressure along its back end, forcing air down. That hood will cause high pressure along the upslope leading up to it, and low pressure directly above it. Do we have any dynamic fluid engineers here to chime in?

I agree with you. Is there room for a fan underneath the cooler?

I put a top mount IC and hole in the hood on my minivan, but theres a fan on it. I know when the fan isnt on it's just heating up the IC.

Theres no room for a fan and I agree very poor design but it looks cool
