Description: 1990 Dodge caravan factory 2.5 turbo. When I got the van I converted the turbo to a 89 garrett t2 with the large waste gate can and 2.5" swing valve. At the time of the turbo install I also did a MP head gasket and bolts. Couple months later I installed a 5 speed from a 1992 Dodge shadow with the a-523 and 3.77 FD. All van 5 speed parts were used in the conversion and has a factory burgundy van manual console. The factory auto selector has been left on the column. Less than 1500 miles on a new T2/T3 clutch kit along with new front brake rotors/pads/calipers. It is my current daily driver with no issues. The giant front mount intercooler does sit behind the grill fine but some of the radiator support has been cut along with ditching the factory a/c. At the time of the intercooler install I did opt to install a larger radiator out of a 1991 Dodge Shadow to aid in cooling over the factory small van radiator. I have never had any issues with it running warm. Van is sitting on 15"x7" Fiero GT wheels with good tires all around. The fronts are good year triple tread. For the interior it does have a sagging headliner that is pushpin up out of place. Currently the van is only a 5 seater but there are provisions in the floor for a third seat. It does have a dual pillar pod with a narrow band a/f gauge and boost gauge, both are autometer. For the center vent in the dash is a 5"auto meter memory tach along with a shift light in the spot of the vent just left of the tach. Just above the radio is a set of three toggle switches mounted. One is cooling fan override control, one is two stage boost control, and the third doesn't function. it was meant for an electric cutout but I never found the need/desire for one after dealing with the manual setup.
The only rust on the van is the previously mentioned 4" section of the rear dogleg below the fuel fill. Underneath this van is extremely clean and was a Tennessee vehicle until 2005. The van has the factory down pipe with a 2.5" cutout right after. Then it goes back into the stock exhaust with mufflers and resonators. Van is very quiet with the cutout closed and nice and throaty with just the down pipe uncorked. Surprisingly not loud enough to warrant any attention from the boys in blue as I drove it open down pipe for the better part of a year.
