Description: I bought this car about 3 years ago off E-bay from a "gentlemen" in Palm Springs, CA. He stated that the engine had been rebuilt, but didn't have receipts/proof of it. As you can see from the pictures, this car was owned by someone that had no idea what he was doing with this car. The engine bay wiring/vac lines are all jacked up, so the turbo overboosts because of this. When I drove it after I bought it, it started making transmission noises so I took it to a transmission shop in Palm Springs and had the trans rebuilt ($900) and also had a brand new, never used VNT placed on there as well (that I supplied $500). I also had a glass pack muffler placed on as well ($300 which sounds really nice IMHO). But I only got to drive it about 70 miles before it started to overheat in the hills of Southern California so I just got a U-Haul and towed it up to the Bay Area. Upon inspection I found it was missing the thermostat and it has been sitting in my second garage ever since. I have jumped it and drove it around the block twice since then (amazed that a neglected 20+ year old car could still fly), but other than that, I have not touched it. So as you see it now, is just as I bought it. My intentions to totally restore this car have been pushed aside by the reality that I just have too many cars and between family/work/other car commitments, I will never get this car done. Currently the car does not have updated tags/registration, needs to be smogged first. This would make a good project restoration car for someone with the motivation and time on their hands. With that said....
The "bad":
-All the oustide molding and rubber are just about rotted away, obviously destroyed by the California heat.
-The paint...need I say more? Regular neglected Dodge '80's paint, with oxidation.
-The driver's side front panel looks like someone tried to match the paint with some roll on paint or something.
-Tires are junk.
-Inside is dirty and some interior pieces are either missing or broken. But for the most part it's in "decent" condition.
-Drivers side seat is all jacked up, see photos.
-Shelby steering wheel is cracked up from the heat, so previous owner put a cover on it (actually feels good).
-Engine bay needs a total overhaul with wiring and vac hoses.
The "good"
-Starts right up, no knocking or smoking.
-Rust free California car.
-All Shelby items present.
-Ground effects are there and not cracked, although they're scuffed up a bit.
-Fiberrides are in decent condition, minus the center caps.
-Headliner is in good condition, just dirty.
-I'll also include another set of back seat fabric and front door panels. One of the panels has the front top fabric peeled off because I was going to get it duplicated (many moons ago) but never did.
-Comes with the old VNT that was taken off and two other Dodge style radios (in the trunk).
-I forgot to add that there's also a brand new Poly Bushings adjustable bobble strut on it as well

09/05/12 UPDATE: I have updated the album with pictures to show the driver's side floor board, wheel well, and under side.
